‘WWE NXT’ Review (Feb 24th 2026)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: NXT Tag Team Championship – The Vanity Project def. DarkState
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes are bringing more gold to the Vanity Project as they dethroned Osiris Griffin and Saquon Shugars to win the NXT Tag Team Title. Vanity Project was overpowered early as the towering Griffin terrorized the two newcomers, but it wasn’t long before they met their equal. Evolve Champion Jackson Drake saved Baylor from getting pinned which drew the ire of Dion Lennox and Cutler James, but in the chaos. Tony D’Angelo appeared out of nowhere and assaulted Shugars. D’Angelo proceeded to toss Baylor into the ring and on top of Shugars, giving Vanity Project the win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: Keanu Carver def. Sean Legacy
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Keanu Carver continues to impress in his first few weeks as an NXT Superstar, this time crushing Sean Legacy in one-on-one action. Legacy was up for the challenge and stole the momentum on several occasions, but a giant Pounce and a huge Suplex was enough to give Carver the victory.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: Speed Championship – Elio LeFleur def. Jasper Troy and Eli Knight
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
French Luchador Elio LeFleur stunned the NXT Universe by winning the Speed Championship in an epic Triple Threat Match. The sheer power of Troy clashed with the speed of LeFleur and Knight, as both challengers struggled to fell the massive champion. Knight and LeFleur teamed up to take out Troy, but the special 7-minute time limit kept ticking away. With just over a minute remaining, LeFleur hit a spectacular tilt-a-whirl crucifix on Troy and Knight followed with a dazzling Moonsault, but LeFleur jumped into the cover and won the match.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: NXT Women’s Championship – Jacy Jayne def. Sol Ruca
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jacy Jayne is still NXT Women’s Champion, but only because Zaria snapped on Sol Ruca. The powerhouse of ZaRuca snapped on her partner, Spearing her and hitting an F5, but Ruca demanded the match start. However, Jayne quickly capitalized as she hit a Rolling Encore to retain her title, allowing Zaria to continue her assault.
My Score: SQUASH out of 5
Match #5: Speed Tournament – Thea Hail def. Blake Monroe
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Thea Hail punched her ticket to the finals of the Women’s Speed Tournament by defeating Blake Monroe. Monroe was on the outside attempting to recover when Jaida Parker arrived and nailed her with a Driveby, allowing Hail to capitalize and win the match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #6: Uriah Connors def. Kale Dixon
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Uriah Connors made a statement by defeating his former friend and Chase U teammate, Kale Dixon. The 4th generation Superstar was joined by TNA Knockouts Champion Arianna Grace, Stacks and Lexis King, whereas Andre Chase stood in Dixon’s corner. Chase could only watch as his former pupil knocked out his current one as one huge knee strike from Connors ended the bout for good.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #7: NXT North American Championship – Myles Borne def. Ethan Page
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
NXT has a new North American Champion as Myles Borne ended the historic reign of Ethan Page. The challenger immediately targeted the already injured ankle of the champion, but the veteran savvy of Page allowed him to stay in the fight. A Superplex seemed to spell doom for Borne, but he showed his resiliency by kicking out, giving the NXT Universe hope in the underdog. Somehow, Borne hit Borne Again, but the Vanity Project ran down and cracked the challenger with the Evolve Title, but Borne kicked out. Mass chaos ensued as Hank & Tank and Shiloh Hill chased off Vanity Project, and Ricky Saints was met by NXT Champion Joe Hendry, allowing Borne to hit one more Borne again for the win.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2.5/5
This week’s NXT felt like a show built around moments rather than matches, and depending on your tolerance for interference-heavy storytelling, that’s either compelling chaos or mild frustration. The in-ring action across the board ranged from solid to serviceable, but very little was allowed to breathe. The Vanity Project capturing the Tag Titles had the kind of overbooked energy that screams “new era,” even if it lacked clean execution. Myles Borne dethroning Ethan Page was the true headline moment – a strong underdog win that at least felt significant, even with the usual parade of run-ins. Meanwhile, the Women’s Title bout between Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca being cut short via Zaria’s meltdown was more angle than match, and that became a recurring theme throughout the night. There’s no denying NXT is stacking factions and intertwining stories, but the constant outside involvement is starting to dilute what should be decisive, star-making wins. Keanu Carver continues to look like a project with upside, Thea Hail keeps ticking forward in the Speed format, and Elio LeFleur’s win was a fun sprint, but nothing here crossed into must-see territory. A transitional episode with storyline movement and a couple of meaningful title shifts, yet very little that truly elevated the brand.
