‘WWE NXT’ Review (Mar 10th 2026)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Triple Threat Match – Sean Legacy and Eli Knight def. Jasper Troy

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The Triple Threat Match between Sean Legacy, Eli Knight and Jasper Troy ended in controversial fashion with the ultra-rare double pin. Troy dominated the matchup early on due to his severe size advantage, but his speedy opponents proceeded to chop him down thanks to several Superkicks. Out of nowhere, Keanu Carver appeared and smashed Troy through the announce table, seemingly as a message to commentator and WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T. Somehow, Troy fought his way back into the match, but he was the victim of near simultaneous splashes and both Superstars pinned him, making them both the winner.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #2: Lexis King & Uriah Connors def. Charlie Dempsey & Tavion Heights

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

NXT’s newest group, Birth Right, became even more dangerous when Charlie Dempsey betrayed Tavion Heights and joined their ranks. As the action raged on in the ring, William Regal and Fit Finlay appeared, and they gave the signal to Dempsey to attack Heights. That allowed Connors to deliver a massive running knee strike before King hit a match-ending Coronation.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Sol Ruca def. Lainey Reid

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Sol Ruca defeated Lainey Reid just one week before she challenges Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship. Reid was up for the challenge and even had some help from Jayne as Fatal Influence did all they could to slow Ruca down. It wasn’t enough though as Ruca countered her devastating knee strike with a Sol Snatcher as a dejected champion looked on.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #4: Speed Tournament Final – Wren Sinclair def. Thea Hail

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Wren Sinclair punched her ticket to the Speed Tournament Final by defeating the spirited Thea Hail. Sinclair found herself in trouble in a Kimura Lock, but she flipped her hips and locked in the Final Wrench to get the win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #5: Ethan Page & Ricky Saints def. Joe Hendry & Myles Borne

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The makeshift team of NXT Champion Joe Hendry and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne fell to Ricky Saints and Ethan Page in tag team action. Saints and Page struggled to stay on the same wavelength, allowing Borne and Hendry to take the early advantage. The ever-opportunistic Page saw his opening and tagged himself in, frustrating Saints who distracted the official, allowing Page to hit Hendry with a Twisted Grin onto the title to secure the victory.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

This week’s NXT was solid enough in terms of in-ring action, but never quite rose above being a routine episode of the brand. Most of the matches landed firmly in the “good but not great” category, with nothing particularly memorable standing out by the time the show went off the air. The opener’s chaotic finish and outside interference set the tone for a night that leaned heavily on storyline progression rather than standout wrestling. Sol Ruca vs. Lainey Reid was probably the highlight of the evening, largely thanks to Ruca’s ever-impressive athleticism and the continued build toward her title challenge. Meanwhile, the main event tag match did a decent job of furthering the tensions between Ethan Page and Ricky Saints while protecting both champions involved. Overall, the show ticked along nicely but lacked a true must-see match or moment to elevate it beyond average weekly television.
