‘WWE NXT’ Review (Mar 3rd 2026)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: NXT North American Championship – Myles Borne def. Ethan Page

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Myles Borne proved that he is more than worthy of being NXT North Champion as he defeated Ethan Page once again, this time in an impromptu match. Despite both Superstars still wearing their suits, neither competitor let it slow them down as they took their fight in and around the ring, highlighted by Borne smashing Page on the announce table. Page’s clothes were in tatters as his pants and shoes flew off and as the official tried to get them out of the ring, Borne cracked him with the other shoe before hitting Borne Again for the win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #2: Women’s Speed Tournament – Wren Sinclair def. Nikkita Lyons

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Wren Sinclair punched her ticket to the finals of the Women’s Speed Tournament by defeating Nikkita Lyons in statement fashion. The bigger Lyons couldn’t catch up with the quicker Sinclair, and the WrenQCC Superstar locked in what she calls the Final Wrench to secure her spot against Thea Hail.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Shiloh Hill and Hank & Tank def. The Vanity Project

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Shiloh Hill, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger formed a formidable trio as they took down The Vanity Project in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Evolve Champion Jackson Drake and NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes didn’t wait for the bell as they jumped their opponents before the bell rang, but their momentum didn’t last long. The antics of Hank & Tank embarrassed the champions, at one point even slamming Baylor’s face into Walker’s exposed belly. However, the Vanity Project returned the favor by smashing him into the steel steps. The temperature of the match changed when Hill became legal as Hank & Tank hit Honk Honk and Hill hit a huge neckbreaker on Drake for the win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #4: NXT Women’s Championship – Jacy Jayne vs. Zaria (No Contest)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Jacy Jayne is still NXT Women’s Champion after Sol Ruca launched an incredible attack on her former friend, Zaria. The champion and challenger were in the midst of a hellacious battle when Ruca appeared and delivered an incredible double Sol Snatcher before laying out Lainey Reid with the NXT Women’s Title.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

This week’s episode delivered a fairly consistent night of action, even if it never quite hit the heights that would make the show feel must-see. Across the board the matches were solid rather than spectacular, with most of the card sitting comfortably in the “good TV wrestling” category without producing that one standout bout that elevates the whole show. Myles Borne continuing to prove himself as North American Champion was a strong opener, the chaotic suit-clad fight with Ethan Page giving the bout a fun, scrappy energy. Elsewhere, Wren Sinclair’s win over Nikkita Lyons kept the Women’s Speed Tournament ticking along nicely, while the six-man tag featuring Hank & Tank and Shiloh Hill leaned into comedy and crowd-pleasing antics. The main event title match between Jacy Jayne and Zaria had the most intrigue, but the no-contest finish, courtesy of Sol Ruca’s explosive interference, clearly served to push the storyline forward rather than deliver a decisive payoff. All told, this was a steady, storyline-driven episode of NXT that kept things moving without truly blowing the doors off.
