‘WWE NXT’ Review (Feb 10th 2026)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Jaida Parker vs. Blake Monroe (Double Count-Out)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The highly anticipated bout between Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe was a stalemate as neither Superstar could answer the official’s ten count. The match began with an incredible pace as neither Superstar could wait in getting their hands on each other, with Parker’s power clashing with Monroe’s in-ring savvy. The Glamour went out of her way to mock her opponent and it backfired, leading to her getting slammed into the steel ring steps. However, neither Superstar realized that the referee was counting and it led to a double count out, kicking off a huge brawl on the outside and an incidental Hipnotic to an official.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #2: Speed Tournament Match – Eli Knight def. Josh Briggs

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Eli Knight scored one of the biggest wins of his career as he knocked off Josh Briggs in a Speed Tournament Match. After the match, Elio LeFleur, Knight’s opponent in the finals, shook his hand, but Speed Champion Jasper Troy arrived on the scene and laid out both Superstars.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: NXT Championship – Joe Hendry def. Jackson Drake

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Joe Hendry’s first defense of his NXT Championship was a successful one as he defeated Evolve Champion Jackson Drake in a statement. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes attempted to get involved, but they were caught by the official and promptly ejected from ringside. With the odds now even, Hendry weathered the impressive storm from Drake and hit a Standing Ovation to retain his title. After the match, Ricky Saints launched an unbelievable assault on the champion.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #4: The Vanity Project def. Hank & Tank

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes picked up a huge victory over former NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger looked incredible, using their massive size and power advantage to toss the cocky Vanity Project around the ring. Out of nowhere, OTM and The Culling came out to ringside to continue bickering, allowing Evolve Champion Jackson Drake to deliver a cheapshot which allowed Vanity Project to steal the win.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #5: ZaRuca def. WrenQCC

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Sol Ruca is officially the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s Championship after gaining the pinfall for her team. Ruca and Zaria couldn’t get on the same page and it allowed Wren Sinclair and Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey to gain the momentum, highlighted by tandem splashes to the outside. The match became incredibly chaotic and Zaria inadvertently tagged in Ruca before Spearing Sinclair, but Ruca hit a Sol Snatcher on Grey to become No. 1 Contender. After the match, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence came out to engage in a staredown with Ruca.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

This week’s NXT felt like a solid, storyline-driven episode rather than an all-timer, but there was enough movement across the card to keep things engaging throughout. The opener between Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe set a chaotic tone with a double count-out that screamed “rematch incoming,” while the Speed Tournament bout did its job in advancing that bracket without overstaying its welcome. Joe Hendry’s title defence was the anchor of the night – a confident first defence that made him feel like a fighting champion, with the post-match assault ensuring his reign won’t be a quiet one. The tag division continued its messy web of interference, though that match felt more angle-heavy than satisfying in-ring. The standout, however, was the main event tag, with ZaRuca earning Sol Ruca a deserved No. 1 contender spot and delivering the most complete match of the night. Not blow-away, but purposeful and steady.
