‘WWE NXT’ Review (Jan 13th 2026)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Lola Vice def. Kelani Jordan
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Lola Vice continues to rack up wins to begin 2026 as she knocked Kelani Jordan out. Jordan’s new edge served her well, but Vice did execute an expert counter of her Split Legged Moonsault by locking in a triangle submission. Jordan persevered and managed to roll up her opponent, but the official caught her using the ropes for leverage, and Vice capitalized on the ensuing argument by connecting with her Spinning Backfist.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #2: Men’s Speed Championship – Jasper Troy def. Tavion Heights
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jasper Troy retained the Men’s Speed Championship in thrilling fashion against Tavion Heights. With just under a minute remaining, Troy hit a massive Blackhole to retain his title.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: TNA International Championship – Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Shiloh Hill
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The TNA International Championship remains with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo thanks to an assist from Arianna Grace. Hill looked to have the match won with an inside cradle, but Grace shoved the two Superstars which shifted the weight and allowed Stacks to score the win.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: No Disqualification Match – Joe Hendry def. Dion Lennox
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Joe Hendry defeated Dion Lennox and DarkState, but he didn’t do it on his own terms. Lennox was prepared to attack Hendry with a steel chair, but Tony D’Angelo appeared and laid him out, only to attack Hendry as well. D’Angelo then dragged Hendry over the lifeless Lennox before destroying a lot of NXT security officials.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
This week’s NXT was solid enough, but rarely spectacular, a show that ticked boxes rather than tore the house down. Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan opened things in competent fashion, with Vice’s counter-heavy finish adding some bite, even if the match itself never quite caught fire. The Men’s Speed Title bout did what it had to in under a minute, delivering a quick burst of impact without overstaying its welcome. Stacks vs. Shiloh Hill was one of the night’s stronger efforts, boosted by Arianna Grace’s timely interference and some welcome storyline texture. The No DQ main event leaned more into chaos and angle advancement than pure wrestling, with Tony D’Angelo’s involvement overshadowing the actual contest. Overall, this was an episode that moved pieces into place (especially given how the roster has been decimated by call-ups) rather than redefining them… enjoyable in moments, but ultimately more functional than memorable.
