Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: NXT North American Championship – Ethan Page def. Moose
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Ethan Page retained the NXT North American Championship in thrilling fashion by defeating TNA’s Moose. Moose brought the fight to the champion, using his supreme athleticism and mat skills to come close to becoming champion. Once the pace settled, Page took advantage as his signature Twisted Grin delivered him another title retention.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #2: Jacy Jayne def. Wren Sinclair
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne sent a message to No. 1 Contender Kendal Grey, but the Evolve Women’s Champion got the last laugh. Fatal Influence leveled Grey before Jayne’s match, leaving Wren Sinclair all alone to face the NXT Women’s Champion. The numbers game proved to be too much, but Grey arrived after the match to repel the postmatch attack.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #3: Tavion Heights def. Lexis King
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tavion Heights is one step closer to gold by defeating Lexis King in the finals of the Men’s Speed Tournament. The statement victory means Heights will challenge Men’s Speed Champion Jasper Troy as the two Superstars stared each other down after the match.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #4: OTM def. Swipe Right
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price’s rampage continued as the dangerous duo flattened Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes. Price and Nima’s hulking size was too much to overcome as OTM tossed the Evolve Superstars around the ring before mercifully scoring the pinfall.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: Ricky Saints def. Je’Von Evans
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Former NXT Champion Ricky Saints made good on his word by defeating Je’Von Evans in a thrilling matchup. The Young OG came out of the gates hot, flying at Saints and using his unbelievable athleticism to take flight in and out of the ring. Saints finally managed to ground the high-flyer, leading to a near stalemate as neither Superstar could score the win. With the referee taking an inadvertent hit, a desperate Saints low-blowed Evans and hit a match-ending Roshambo.
My Score: 4 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
This week’s NXT was a solid-but-unspectacular outing, the kind of episode that ticks boxes without ever really threatening to blow the roof off. Ethan Page vs. Moose was a strong opener on paper and delivered well enough, even if it never quite hit the next gear you’d hope for from a crossover title match. Jacy Jayne did exactly what she needed to do in a functional, storyline-heavy bout, while the Speed Tournament final felt more like a placeholder than a genuine climax. OTM’s squash was fine for what it was, but largely forgettable. The clear highlight was Ricky Saints vs. Je’Von Evans, a genuinely exciting main event that mixed flash, tension, and a perfectly timed dirty finish. Overall, an episode carried by its closer, with the rest of the card hovering around “perfectly acceptable” rather than must-see.
