‘TNA Wrestling: Turning Point 2025’ PPV Review
God, it feels like such a long time since Turning Point emanated from the UK – two years ago, when Scott D’Amore had Impact riding so high they were about to bring back the TNA branding. Since then, we’ve had highs, the teaming with WWE and NXT, and lows – stars defecting to the WWE and then last week’s show, which seems to have angered – or at least disappointed – just about every member of the IWC. So, with that, let’s see what this year’s Turning Point has to offer… A show that opened with a pre-show match in which Jake Something defeated The Home Town Man (who we interviewed here) and Mance Warner.

Match #1: TNA Knockouts World Championship – Kelani Jordan def. M By Elegance

Mara Sade, Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee are seen watching the match backstage. Both competitors exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Kelani drops her leg across the throat of M for a near fall. M connects with a sit-down driver for a near fall of her own. Kelani locks in a single leg Crab but M breaks free. Kelani hits One of a Kind to secure the victory.

Outnumbered, Maclin brings the fight to his opponents, hitting them both with SCUD missiles. Nic is Caught in the Crosshairs but Ryan puts his brother’s foot on the bottom rope. Mara Sade appears at ringside at takes out Ryan with a superkick. Kazarian sends Maclin crashing into the steel ring steps. Back in the ring, Nic hits Maclin with a Famouser for two. Santana counters Fade to Black, then hits Kazarian with Spin the Block to win.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
Turning Point should have lived up to its name, but instead it felt more like a show stuck between gears. There were flashes of brilliance – the eight-man tag match and the brilliant X-Division championship in particular – but the PPV struggled to maintain momentum. Too many matches hovered around OK, but not great, and the booking often leaned on safe choices rather than anything that might genuinely shake up the landscape. The main event delivered enough spectacle to justify its placement, yet even that lacked the emotional weight or narrative punch needed to elevate the whole show(even the will-he-won’t-here appearance of Santana couldn’t make this one work). Production was clean, commentary remained consistent, and the roster worked hard, but the energy dipped more often than it peaked. In the end, Turning Point was fine: competent, professional, and occasionally exciting, but far from the impactful PPV fans hoped for. A middle-of-the-road outing from a company seemingly capable of much more.
