‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Nov 6th 2025)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on this week’s show – the first original (non-clip show) episode since Bound For Glory a month ago! And it’s also the return of Open Fight Night which, if memory serves, we haven’t seen since 2017?!

Match #1: The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) def. The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch), Sinner & Saint (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus) & The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

All four teams are putting it all on the line in hopes of securing the important victory! Miguel and Wentz soar over the top rope, taking out their opponents on the outside. Hotch distracts the referee, allowing Skyler to illegally attack Myers on the floor. Moments later, Order 4 remains in control when Tasha Steelz gets involved. Myers finally creates separation and makes the tag to Eddie. The pace quickens as Eddie brings the fight to Skyler. Sinner & Saint deliver double team offense to The Rascalz. Skyler cuts off Icarus with a Spear. Myers hits Skyler with the Roster Cut, followed by a Boston Knee Party from Eddie to win.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Match #2: Dani Luna def. Jody Threat

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Dani Luna gains the early advantage in this personal showdown! Threat attempts to turn the tide with double knees but Luna counters into a German suplex. The fight spills to the outside where Threat leaps off the apron with a senton. Threat hits a top rope crossbody, followed by a Jackhammer for two. Threat locks in a rear naked choke but Luna makes it to the bottom rope. Luna launches her off the ropes with a German suplex, followed by the Luna Landing to score the victory.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Match #3: El Paso Street Fight – The Hardys (Jeff & Matt) def. The Colons (Eddie & Orlando)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Anything goes in an El Paso Street Fight as The Hardys and The Colons take things to the extreme! Eddie chokes Jeff with a steel chain while Orlando assaults Matt with a chair. Not even Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt are safe as both teams brawl around the ringside area and into the crowd. Jeff trips up Eddie, who was perched on the top rope. Matt hits Orlando with the Twist of Fate before Jeff sends him crashing through a table with the Swanton Bomb. Jeff pins Orlando to win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #4: Mike Santana def. Cedric Alexander

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

It’s main event time at Open Fight Night as Mike Santana battles Cedric Alexander in a match built on respect! Alexander hits a Michinoku Driver for two. Santana goes for the Rolling Buck 50 but Alexander counters into a German suplex, followed by a Fisherman’s Buster. Santana fights off the Lumbar Check, then hits the Rolling Buck 50 for a near fall of his own. The action is back and forth as both men counter each other’s offense. Santana hits one final Spin the Block to pick up the hard-fought victory.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Final Verdict: 4/5

This week’s show honestly caught me off guard—in the best possible way. For an “Open Fight Night” episode, my expectations weren’t sky-high (especially after weeks of clip shows and recaps), but this episode absolutely smashed through them with sharp pacing, big energy and matches that felt far more explosive than advertised. The four-way tag match was the night’s standout: frantic, inventive and packed with clever double-team sequences that made every team look like genuine contenders. The women’s division also delivered a pleasant surprise, with a gritty, hard-hitting clash between former tag partners Dani Luna and Jody Threar that felt far more important than a simple mid-card slot. What really stunned me was how cohesive the whole show felt. TNA often lives in the shadow of its own legacy, and recently the shadow of its collaboration with the WWE, but tonight’s episode felt hungry, confident and genuinely exciting. If they can bottle this formula, and stick to it(!), the brand could be on a serious upswing.
