‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Oct 9th 2025)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on this week’s Bound For Glory go-home show…

Match #1: Matt Cardona def. Ryan Nemeth

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

After coming to the aid of The Home Town Man last week, Matt Cardona looks to teach Ryan Nemeth a lesson! Ryan hits a neckbreaker on the floor and Cardona makes it back into the ring just before the referee’s count of 10. Nic Nemeth trips up Cardona but referee Paige Prinzivalli ejects him from ringside. Cardona capitalizes with Radio Silence to put Ryan away.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #2: Mustafa Ali def. JDC

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

The final opportunity to gain momentum before Hardcore War is now as Order 4’s Mustafa Ali battles The System’s JDC! Ali goes for a springboard but JDC cuts him off with a mid-air dropkick. Other members of Order 4 and The System confront each other at ringside, allowing Ali to capitalize with a dive to JDC. Both men are down following a Superplex from JDC. Ali avoids Down & Dirty but JDC leaps off the top to wipe out the Secret Service. The brawl is on between both factions at ringside. Special Agent 0 hits JDC with a Choke Bomb into the hardest part of the ring. Ali follows up with the 450 to win.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #3: No Disqualifications Match – Eric Young def. Joe Hendry

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

It’s main event time as Joe Hendry and Eric Young settle their personal rivalry in a No Disqualifications Match! The fight spills to the outside where Young chokes Hendry with a steel chain. Young attempts a Piledriver into the steel steps but Hendry counters with a Back Body Drop. They brawl up the ramp where Hendry hits a thudding powerslam on the stage. After fighting amongst the fans in the iMPACT! Zone, they return to the ring where Hendry whips Young into a steel chair. Hendry hits an Olympic Slam on the chair for two. Young delivers a low blow to Hendry, followed by a Piledriver into the chair to score the victory.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

For a go-home show before Bound For Glory, this week’s Impact was a real letdown. The pacing dragged, the segments felt recycled, and somehow TNA thought it was a good idea to air just three matches on their biggest setup night of the year. Trick Williams and Mike Santana tried to inject some emotion into their promo duel, but it couldn’t mask how flat the show felt overall. Mustafa Ali and JDC put on a solid bout, and Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young’s No DQ fight added some late chaos, but that was pretty much it. Everything else was filler and talking. A go-home show should send fans into the weekend buzzing. Instead, this one limped across the finish line.
