‘NXT: No Mercy 2025’ PPV Review
No Mercy is back on the WWE’s third brand – a pay-per-view that started back in 1999, right here in the UK! With that being said, let’s see what went down on the latest NXT: No Mercy…

Match #1: Je’Von Evans def. Josh Briggs
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Je’Von Evans got payback on Josh Briggs in the form of a big win at NXT No Mercy. The Man of Mayhem was brutal on The Young OG to start, using his incredible power to down the high-flyer and keep him from using his athletic moves. Evans fired back with a host of strikes after Briggs begged for forgiveness, but The Young OG was not in a forgiving mood. That flurry allowed for a huge diving splash to the outside followed by a scintillating Frog Splash, but that wasn’t enough to keep Briggs down. Briggs went for broke and attempted an Avalanche Chokeslam, but Evans landed on his feet, only to walk into a second Chokeslam. Finally, an emotional Evans countered another Chokeslam into a Cutter and followed with a Flying Cutter that put Briggs down for good.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #2: NXT Women’s Speed Championship – Sol Ruca def. Jaida Parker
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The NXT Women’s Speed Championship remains with Sol Ruca after a tough battle with Jaida Parker. Lainey Reid was unable to compete, and Parker was therefore revealed as the surprise challenger, much to the dismay of the champion. Parker nailed Ruca with a Hipnotic on the outside but was promptly met by Lash Legend, and it ended up costing the challenger. Zaria Speared Legend, and when Parker tried getting back in the ring, she was met with a match-ending Sol Snatcher with just 12 seconds remaining.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #3: Weaponized Steel Cage Match – Jordynne Grace def. Blake Monroe
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jordynne Grace vanquished her rival Blake Monroe inside of a Weaponized Steel Cage at NXT No Mercy. The two Superstars attacked each other immediately as Monroe cracked Grace with a Kendo stick, only for The Juggernaut to lock her in a Boston Crab submission with a steel chair. Monroe battled out of the hold and smashed Grace’s hand before using a hairdryer and even cutting Grace’s hair with a pair of scissors. With Grace down, Monroe poured dozens of diamonds onto the mat, but The Juggernaut dropped her on the jewels. The two began scaling the cage with The Glamour attempting to hit a piledriver, but Grace countered with a massive Air Raid Crash through a table to win the bout.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: NXT North American Championship – Ethan Page def. Tavion Heights
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Ethan Page is walking out of NXT No Mercy still the NXT North American Champion after narrowly defeating Tavion Heights. Page quickly used his aggression to confuse and stun his challenger, but the willpower of Heights kept him in the matchup. Seemingly out of nowhere, Heights fired back and dropped the champion with a series of blows and a slingblade before applying an Ankle Lock. The challenger attempted to execute an inverted suplex, but All Ego countered into a huge Twisted Grin to end the match and retain his title.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #5: NXT Women’s Championship – Jacy Jayne def. Lola Vice
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jacy Jayne is still the NXT Women’s Champion, but not without some controversy. The champion used her technician skills to keep the powerful Vice off her feet and pinned down to the mat.The champion continued her assault on the outside, which included a huge rolling senton into the steel steps. One swift kick from Vice rocked Jayne and changed the complexion of the match, and the champion unleashed a flurry of strikes as her family cheered from ringside. Vice seemingly had the match won, but Fallon Henley pulled the official out of the ring to stop the count and was ejected from ringside. Out of options, Jayne grabbed the NXT Women’s Title and tried to use it as a weapon, but she was thwarted by the official. Out of nowhere, Jayne hit Rolling Encore, but Vice executed her Spinning Backfist and fell out of the ring. A hooded figure appeared and cracked Vice with a running knee strike at ringside. Moments later, the challenger rolled back into the ring and suffered a final Rolling Encore.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #6: NXT Championship – Ricky Saints def. Oba Femi
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Ricky Saints conquered Oba Femi to win the NXT Championship in triumphant fashion at NXT No Mercy. The sheer force of Femi was an immediate problem for Saints, as the champion’s vicious blows landed with increasing frequency. Saints continued to fight, but he struggled to consistently attack the champion, even being caught in a massive Chokeslam after a failed dive from the top rope. The challenger finally found his footing and hammered the champion with big strikes in the corner before countering another Chokeslam into a Spear, bringing the NXT Universe to its feet. The two Superstars found themselves battling on the outside, and The Ruler’s attempt to hit Fall From Grace backfired when the challenger nailed him with a DDT on the announce table. After the two crawled back into the ring, Femi landed a Fall From Grace, but Saints miraculously kicked out. The Ruler went for another, but it was countered into a Tornado DDT, which gave Saints the historic victory and the NXT Championship.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
No Mercy was a mixed show that ended on a high note. Je’Von Evans got his revenge over Josh Briggs in a lively opener, while Sol Ruca retained her Women’s Speed Championship against a surprise replacement in Jaida Parker, though the match was hurt by interference and last-minute changes. Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe delivered a chaotic cage match that stood out as one of the night’s most memorable moments – but not for the right reasons IMHO. Ethan Page’s North American title defence over Tavion Heights was solid but forgettable, whereas Jacy Jayne’s Women’s Championship clash with Lola Vice had good drama, even if the finish leaned too heavily on outside interference. The main event, however, stole the show, with Ricky Saints toppling Oba Femi to win the NXT Championship in a decisive, hard-fought battle. While the pacing was uneven and reliance on run-ins dragged certain matches down, the big title change made this feel more significant than first expected. Overall, this was a flawed card, but one that ultimately delivered in its main event.
