‘WWE Smackdown’ Review (Nov 1st 2024)
Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Liv Morgan def. Tiffany Stratton
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite Nia Jax distracting the official on the ring apron and kicking the Money in the Bank briefcase to Tiffany Stratton to use against Liv Morgan, the Women’s World Champion avoided the hit and rolled up her opponent for the three-count while grabbing the tights. When Morgan attempted to use the briefcase on Jax after the bell, though, the WWE Women’s Champion took it away from her and used it on Liv, Raquel Rodregez and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio before crushing her WWE Crown Jewel opponent with the Annihilator.
My Score: 1 out of 5
Match #2: The Street Profits def. Pretty Deadly
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After B-Fab slammed an interfering Elton Prince onto the ringside floor, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins hit Kit Wilson with the Doomsday Blockbuster for the victory.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #3: Bayley & Naomi def. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the heated final moments of her tag team match, Bayley collided with her partner Naomi on the apron and effectively tagged Naomi into the match. Candice LeRae didn’t realize this and attempted to put away The Role Model. This confusion resulted in The Poison Pixie suffering Naomi’s Rear View for the three-count.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #4: Fatal 4-Way Match – IYO SKY def. Bianca Belair, Piper Niven, and Lash Legend
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a sampling of what to expect in Saturday’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE Crown Jewel, all four competitors and their partners at ringside got in on the action. In the final seconds, Bianca Belair blasted Lash Legend with the K.O.D. Before The EST of WWE could go for the cover, however, IYO SKY descended from above to hit the titleholder with a Moonsault before pinning Legend to pick up the win heading into the title match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #5: Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton def. Imperium
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In an explosive tag team main event, Randy Orton surprised World Heavyweight Champion Gunther with a RKO and paved the way for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to hit Ludwig Kaiser with the Cross Rhodes for the win heading into The American Nightmare’s historic Champion vs. Champion Match against The Ring General at WWE Crown Jewel.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2/5
Another mundane episode of Smackdown this week. Once again we had some women’s wrestling that was, frankly, poorly booked and poorly performed! And then there was the main event, which felt like an inconsequential house show match rather than a teaser for the Champion vs. Champion Match against Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel.
