‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Oct 31st 2024)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling, Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on the show…

Match #1: Fir$t Cla$$ (A.J. Francis & KC Navarro) def. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

After crossing paths in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory, The Rascalz and Fir$t Cla$$ collide in tag team action tonight. This marks the first time in nearly 4 months that The Rascalz are teaming up in TNA Wrestling. This adrenaline-pumping showdown comes to a close when KC Navarro trips up Trey Miguel on the top rope, leading to the Down Payment and three count from A.J. Francis.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #2: Steve Maclin, Jonathan Gresham & Eric Young def. Josh Alexander & The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Josh Alexander’s allies in The Northern Armory, Judas Icarus and Travis Williams, are unable to be here due to travel issues. Instead, Alexander has enlisted The Good Hands to team with him in this six-man tag team clash against Steve Maclin, Jonathan Gresham and Eric Young! Following a hard-hitting contest, Alexander retreats up his ramp as Maclin takes out John Skyler with Caught in the Crosshairs. Maclin finishes off Skyler with the KIA to win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Ash By Elegance def. Dani Luna

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Following their respective successes at Bound For Glory, Ash By Elegance goes one-on-one with Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Dani Luna! It doesn’t take long for Heather By Elegance and The Personal Concierge to create a distraction, allowing Ash to capitalize by sending Luna face-first into the steel steps. Heather strikes Luna with Ash’s broom while the Concierge has the referee distracted. Ash hits Rarified Air to score the big victory.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #4: Léi Yǐng Lee def. Maggie Moore

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

After an impressive performance in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, Léi Yǐng Lee goes one-on-one with TNA newcomer Maggie Moore! Lee continues her winning ways, pinning Moore with Thunderstruck.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #5: The System (Eddie Edwards & JDC) def. Nic Nemeth & Joe Hendry

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

It’s main event time as Bound For Glory opponents Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry team up against The System’s JDC and Eddie Edwards! Call Your Shot Gauntlet winner Frankie Kazarian scouts TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth from the commentary desk. Alisha trips up Nemeth, turning the tide in favor of The System. JDC crashes and burns on a top rope leg drop attempt, creating some much-needed separation for Nemeth. Hendry is on fire after being tagged into the match. Hendry inadvertently strikes Nemeth, as Eddie capitalizes with the Boston Knee Party to pin the TNA World Champion!

My Score: 3 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

Another solid episode of TNA Impact this week! From start to finish each and every match delivered decent action AND storytelling, even if the wrestling on display varied wildly. To be honest though, this didn’t feel too much like a typical post-PPV show to me… especially given this is the first show after Bound For Glory (and that’s despite recaps and rematches, follow-ups etc). But that might just be me. And I’m not digging the team of Hendry and Nemeth, feels like a cop-out given that Hendry SHOULD have the title now!
