Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling, Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on the show…
Match #1: Wendy Choo & Rosemary vs. Jordynne Grace & Sol Ruca (No Contest)

After an early advantage by Grace and Ruca, Ruca hits a huge moonsault to the floor, followed by Grace diving onto their opponents. The night kicks off with Jordynne Grace teaming with a mystery partner from NXT, revealed by liaison Arianna Grace to be Sol Ruca! The action starts immediately as Wendy Choo and Rosemary face Grace and Ruca. As the match reaches a turning point, Grace is about to hit the Juggernaut Driver when Tasha Steelz storms the ring, attacking Grace and causing a disqualification. But before she can do more damage, Masha Slamovich rushes to the ring, forcing Steelz to retreat. The match ends with a tense standoff between the six Knockouts.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: Jonathan Gresham def. Laredo Kid

Next, Laredo Kid faces Jonathan Gresham in X-Division action. The two exchange holds as Laredo uses his high-flying abilities while Gresham employs his catch wrestling style. Gresham gains control, hitting a springboard moonsault before targeting Laredo’s knee. Unable to escape, Laredo taps out.

The match begins with Speedball Mike Bailey and Zachary Wentz locking up before Ace Austin tags in and all six men end up facing off in the ring. Near the end, Wentz hits a springboard cutter, and ABC unleashes a flurry of offense. As Wentz is about to secure the win, KUSHIDA breaks the pin. Slater then takes out KUSHIDA with a dive. He goes for a Swanton 450 on Wentz but misses, allowing Wentz to hit the UFO Cutter for the victory.
My Score: 4 out of 5
Match #4: Lei Ying Lee def. Hyan

Hyan gives it her all, but Lei Ying Lee dominates from the start. After Hyan tries to turn things around with an eye rake, Lee fires back with a series of strikes. The match culminates when Lee hits a spinning torture rack maneuver followed by her finisher, “Thunder Struck,” to secure the win in her TNA debut.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: Heather Reckless def. Xia Brookside

Newcomer Heather Reckless faces off against Xia Brookside, who enters in Texas-themed gear. Despite an early advantage from Brookside, Reckless turns the tide, avoiding a monkey flip and planting Brookside. As Ash By Elegance and The Personal Concierge watch from ringside, Reckless climbs to the top rope and hits Ash By Elegance’s finisher, “Rarified Air,” securing the win.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #6: Joe Hendry def. Frankie Kazarian
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
The main event kicks off with Kazarian demanding to be called the “King of TNA,” but Joe Hendry interrupts and mocks him. Frankie snaps, blindsiding Hendry before taking control. As the match progresses, Kazarian pulls out brass knuckles from his jacket and strikes Hendry, securing the win. However, Nic Nemeth informs the referee of the knuckles, prompting Santino Marella to restart the match. Despite being hurt, Hendry lands his “Standing Ovation” finisher to secure the victory and become the #1 Contender for the TNA World Championship.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3.5/5
What a solid episode of TNA Impact this was! From start to finish each and every match delivered decent action AND storytelling. Like the previous two weeks this show felt more like TNA of old (as in pre-Scott D’Amore’s release). Plus, as and added bonus this week, we got the in-ring debuts of TWO new Knockouts and another NXT/TNA crossover match! Great stuff.
