SmackDown was truly Fight Night when it kicked off with Drew McIntyre & Sheamus conquering The Viking Raiders with an earth-shattering Claymore Kick/Brogue Kick combination on their two opponents to advance to the second round of the SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #2: LA Knight def. Brent Jones

Poised to go head-to-head with Bray Wyatt in the Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match, LA Knight opted to show him what he was in for and easily defeated local competitor Brent Jones with the BFT.
My Score: 0 out of 5
Match #3: Hit Row def. Los Lotharios

In the second matchup of the SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament, B-Fab interfered and paved the way for Ashante “Thee” Adonis to roll up Humberto and give Hit Row the victory over Los Lotharios. As a result, Hit Row will face the triumphant Sheamus & Drew McIntyre in the semifinals.
My Score: 1 out of 5
Match #4: Imperium def. The Brawling Brutes

After Butch suffered a massive suplex onto the unforgiving ringside floor in the final moments of the third SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament Match, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci combined to hit Ridge Holland with the Imperium Bomb to pick up the high-stakes victory.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: Legado del Fantasma def. Maximum Male Models
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the final SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament Match of the night, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro used Lucha tag team precision to take down Maximum Male Models’ ma.çé & mån.sôör. With the victory, the tandem earned the right to face Imperium in the semifinals next week.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2/5
What a bad episode of Smackdown this week’s show was. Not going to lie, if I wasn’t reviewing this stuff I’d have switched this episode off after the second match – certainly after the third. I’d have missed the Imperium/Brawling Brutes match but god, I’d rather have watched clips of it on YouTube than sit through this crap! The fact that a promo/angle segment that closed the show was better than 90% of the episode says a LOT!
