Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m off to a school for the blind to convince them that aliens have landed. Children! Listen to me! Me: Do it you little assholes! (Nathan gets the wallets) Dumbasses. Okay, let’s start the final SmackDown before WrestleMania. The Andre The Giant Battle Royal is off of WrestleMania and on this show, so let’s… Blind Kids: That asshole stole our wallets! Get him! (Nathan trips them all) Me: Dip-s—ts. Aliens: We are aliens! Me: F—k you! (Nathan punches them) F—k these little green assholes! I’m the star of these reviews! Curtain up!

Match #1: (c) Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode def. Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins), Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) and Rey and Dominik Mysterio – Fatal 4 Way Smackdown Tag Team Title Match

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After initiating a pre-match brawl with The Street Profits that quickly drew Otis & Chad Gable and Rey & Dominik Mysterio into the fray, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode ultimetaely prevailed over the three challenging tandems in an explosive Fatal 4-Way showdown.

The Score: 6 out of 10

  • The Good: There’s Rey in here. Rey did his usual lucha stuff. Roode and Ziggler were…them. When is Roode gonna fight for the TNA World Title again? Roode was cool back then. Why the f—k is Ziggler still called Ziggler? Is this Disney Junior or something? Oooooo. Water. Ewwww!!!!!!! It’s wet! You know what else is wet? Me, after watching this match. Chad Gable is really damn good. The Street Profits stole my gimmick of being really annoying and wasting plastic cups…bastards.
  • The Bad: This just sorta came and went, like my country music career. There’s a kabob in my beer and my momma don’t keer ‘bout nuthin’, nuthin’ but balls.
  • The Verdict: For a mess, this was a fun mess.

Match #2: Tamina w/ Natalya def. Nia Jax w/ Shayna Baszler and Reginald

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nia Jax collided with a potential WrestleMania opponent from Night 1’s Tag Team Turmoil Match, Tamina. Just when it looked as if Tamina may knock off The Irresistible Force, Shayna Baszler prevented the pinfall and brought an end to the match by disqualification. Nevertheless, Tamina & Natalya still walked out with momentum heading into The Show of Shows when they knocked The Queen of Spades out of the ring.

The Score: 1 out of 10

  • The Good: Nothing.
  • The Bad: Everything.
  • The Verdict: Poor Shayna Baszler.

Match #3: Andre The Giant Battle Royal

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

This year’s action-packed Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal came down to Ricochet, Jey Uso, King Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura. “Main Event” Uso endured the Kinshasa and reversed The Artist’s attempt to throw him over the top rope to emerge victorious.

The Score: 5 out of 10

  • The Good: There’s some fun battle royal action here. It all went well enough when it needed to.
  • The Bad: It’s a shame that this match was so dull, because it had the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura and…Shinsuke Nakamura. Shelton Benjamin was here. Shelton was out early. Shinsuke didn’t even win.
  • The Verdict: Jey Uso won this match. Samuel L Jackson: Yes they deserved to die and I hope they burn in Hell! Me: Jey got the victory and will do well with the distinction of being the latest Andre The Giant Battle Royal winner.

Final Verdict: 5/10

As a build towards WrestleMania, this was good. There’s promos from the Universal Title Match competitors and they were good. As a show, this was decent. Yeah, I’m not all that enthused with how this turned out, but there are still some fun things to see here.
