First poster for Amazon’s adaptation of ‘The Boys’
If there’s one comic-book adaptation I’m excited for much more than ANY others it’s the forthcoming Amazon Studios TV adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s The Boys – which still ranks as one of my favourite series of all time.
Set to debut on Amazon Prime in 2019, this iteration of The Boys stars Karl Urban (Thor: Ragnarok), Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games), Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), Laz Alonso (Traffik), Antony Starr (American Gothic), Dominique McElligott (The Last Tycoon), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Erin Moriarty (True Detective), Jessie T. Usher (Independence Day: Resurgence), Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) and Nathan Mitchell (iZombie).
Just check out the first poster for the show below, which captures the look of the first graphic novel of The Boys I ever read – making me even more certain that (especially thanks to a lack of censorship on streaming services) we’ll get a [somewhat] faithful adaptation of the controversial book…
