‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Dec 18th 2025)
Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the episode and see what went down on the show…

Match #1: 20-Man TNA World Championship No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal – Winner: Bear Bronson
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
We kick things off with a 20-Man Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 Contender to TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian on the first iMPACT! of 2026. Speaking of Kazarian, he joins Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary. B.D.E. eliminates John Skyler. Ryan Nemeth delivers a thumb to the eye of Home Town Man before tossing him over the top. Myron Reed hits Flame On to eliminate Judas Icarus as The Rascalz catch Reed in mid-air to prevent his feet from touching the floor. A.J. Francis appears at ringside to eliminate Rich Swann before hitting him with a Down Payment on the apron. Moose and Cedric Alexander argue with each other, allowing Eric Young to clothesline them both over the top rope for a double elimination. The final three are Eric Young, Bear Bronson and Ryan Nemeth. Bronson tosses Ryan over the top and we’re down to two. Bronson counters a Piledriver to last eliminate Young, winning the Battle Royal.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #2: Angel Warriors (Léi Yǐng Lee & Xia Brookside) def. Mila Moore and Tessa Blanchard
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
TNA Knockouts World Champion Léi Yǐng Lee teams up with Xia Brookside to battle Tessa Blanchard and Mila Moore in tag team action! Both Angel Warriors fly off the top rope to take out their adversaries with crossbodies to the floor. Robert Stone provides a distraction from the outside, allowing Blanchard to take control with a dropkick to Lee. Moore cuts off the ring and wears down Lee in the corner. Lee is about to tag in Brookside but Stone pulls her off the apron. Moments later, Lee successfully tags Brookside as the tide begins to turn. Lee hits Moore with the Warrior’s Way to score the victory.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: Steel Cage Match – Team TNA (Mike Santana, Jeff Hardy, Steve Maclin & Santino Marella) def. Team NXT (Brooks Jensen, Stacks, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe & Lexis King)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
It’s main event time as the heated rivalry between TNA and NXT reaches its boiling point in a Five-on-Five Steel Cage Match! Two competitors start the match with one competitor from alternating teams entering after set time intervals. Team NXT will have the numbers advantage. Once all competitors have entered the cage, the first pinfall or submission will decide the outcome. Mike Santana and Brooks Jensen kick things off. Team NXT gains its first advantage with the entry of Lexis King. While Santana enjoyed a momentary advantage, he quickly fell victim to the numbers game after King clobbered him with his cane. Steve Maclin evens the odds for Team TNA. Tyson Dupont is out next for Team NXT. Matt Hardy is on his way to the ring when he’s blindsided by Tyriek Igwe. Jeff Hardy joins the fray for Team TNA. Stacks is the next entrant for Team NXT. Then, The Righteous carry Matt Hardy out of the IMPACT! Zone. Director of Authority Santino Marella is the final entrant for Team TNA and the match can now end in pinfall or submission. However, with Matt Hardy out of the equation, Team TNA is at a disadvantage. Maclin has Stacks Caught in the Crosshairs up against the steel. Everyone comes crashing down following a Tower of Doom off the top of the cage. Marella hits Jensen with the Cobra, followed by Spin the Block from Santana to win!
My Score: 3 out of 5
News of the Night:
- Arianna Grace betrayed her father, Santino Marella, and sided with NXT after the Steel Cage match.
Final Verdict: 3.5/5
Last night’s TNA Impact Wrestling felt like a purposeful “end of year” episode, anchored by one big angle-heavy main event and a genuinely surprising shake-up in the title picture.
The show opened with a 20-Man Battle Royal to determine the number one contender to Frankie Kazarian’s TNA World Championship, and the result was not the safe option. Bear Bronson surviving the chaos and last eliminating Eric Young and Ryan Nemeth immediately positions him as a fresh, credible threat heading into 2026. Bronson was booked strong throughout and didn’t luck into the win, which matters. This was the right kind of statement opener. The Knockouts tag match saw Léi Yǐng Lee and Xia Brookside defeat Tessa Blanchard and Mila Moore. While not a barnburner, Lee and Brookside continue to look like a cohesive team, and Lee picking up the pin keeps her momentum ticking along. It did its job without overstaying its welcome. The night revolved around the Ten-Man Steel Cage Match, pitting Team TNA against Team NXT. The match was chaotic in the best way, with the early attack on Matt Hardy giving Team TNA an uphill battle from the start. Despite that, Mike Santana came out looking like an absolute star, sealing the win with Spin The Block. The post-match angle elevated everything: Arianna Grace turning on Santino Marella was genuinely shocking. This wasn’t wall-to-wall classics, but the big moments landed, the booking made sense, and Impact closed 2025 with momentum.
