‘WWE NXT’ Review (Dec 2nd 2025)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Thea Hail def. Arianna Grace
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Thea Hail picked up a major win as she defeated Arianna Grace in convincing fashion. Grace found herself in serious trouble when Joe Hendry stopped Stacks from interfering by hitting a Standing Ovation onto the apron. This opened up Hail to put on a Kimura Lock and force Grace to submit.
My Score: Squash out of 5
Match #2: Josh Briggs def. Tavion Heights
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Josh Briggs walked out victorious after his brutal matchup with Tavion Heights. The two Superstars waged war in and out of the ring with Heights even slamming Briggs through the barricade on the outside. Briggs rallied and even found a way to get his foot on the bottom rope after being hit with a Running Belly-to-Belly Suplex, ending the match with a devastating Running Lariat.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #3: Sol Ruca, Lola Vice & Kendal Grey def. Fatal Influence
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sol Ruca snatched NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne’s soul in epic fashion in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. Ruca teamed up with her Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge competitors Lola Vice and Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey to battle Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. The match became chaotic as Vice, Grey, Reid and Henley fell to the outside, and that’s when Ruca seized the moment, hit a Sol Snatcher on Jayne and won the match. After the bout, Zaria appeared and seemingly tried to hit Ruca with a Spear, but hit Grey instead.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #4: OTM def. Chase U
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price scored a tag team victory against Chase U. OTM seemed to be toying with their opponents, even picking them up during pinfall attempts. Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon attempted to mount a comeback, but it came up short as OTM crushed them in the end.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #5: Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, Joe Hendry & Myles Borne def. DarkState
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Myles Borne got the pinfall in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match against DarkState, meaning he gets to pick his spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline. Borne teamed with Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, and Joe Hendry and the quartet proved to be a super team, using their different skills to keep Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin and Cutler James off their collective mark. Evans and Slater used their incredible high-flying arsenal to stun Griffin, but Borne tagged in at the last second and hit Borne again to win the bout and earn the right to choose his spot at Deadline.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
This week’s NXT felt like a confident, step forward towards Deadline. It was not a barnburner, but a well-paced episode that kept the card ticking over with purpose. The women’s division showed up nicely, with Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey picking up a momentum-boosting win over Jacy Jayne’s crew. It was not a match designed for shock value, but it did a tidy job of clarifying alliances and heating up some simmering tension. The men’s side of the roster leaned heavily into faction warfare, with Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, Myles Borne and Joe Hendry standing tall against DarkState. It was not flashy, but it added a welcome sense of stability and direction to the mid-card. This was a reminder that not every build needs wild twists to be effective. In the end, this was a solid, functional go-home episode. It was steady, purposeful and just engaging enough to keep Deadline feeling like it is arriving at the right time.
