‘WWE NXT’ Review (Nov 11th 2025)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: WWE Speed Championship – Jasper Troy def. El Grande Americano

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

LFG Season One winner Jasper Troy captured gold by ending El Grande Americano’s incredible reign.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #2: Thea Hail def. Alba Fyre

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and NXT North American Champion Ethan Page watching at ringside, Thea Hail knocked off Alba Fyre in a hotly contested fight. Page and Green, also the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, tried to interfere but were thwarted by Joe Hendry, which allowed Hail to counter Fyre and score the win on a rollup.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Fallon Henley def. Skylar Rae

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Fallon Henley punched her ticket to Gold Rush with a victory over LFG Season Two winner Skylar Rae. Despite a valiant effort from Rae, Henley nailed a match-ending Famouser to secure her spot against Zaria for the vacant Women’s Speed Championship.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #4: Tavion Heights def. Josh Briggs

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Tavion Heights scored a massive win as he took down the ferocious Josh Briggs. Briggs was relentless and used his length advantage to keep Heights at bay, even landing a crushing Big Boot to stun his opponent. However, that aggression proved to be his downfall as another Big Boot attempt saw Briggs get caught in the ropes, allowing Heights to hit a huge Belly-to-Belly Suplex to win the match.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #5: Last Man Standing NXT Championship – Ricky Saints def. Trick Williams

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Ricky Saints is still NXT Champion after a brutal Last Man Standing Match against Trick Williams. The match favored the challenger early as Williams smashed the champion with a host of weapons, including a steel chair, a Kendo stick and a steel trash can. Saints fired back by sending Williams through the barricade, using the weapons himself to batter and bruise the challenger. With carnage and destruction at ringside, Williams hit a Trick Kick followed by a Book End on the steel steps, but it wasn’t enough to keep the champion down. The two battled into the crowd, and Williams gloated as Saints recovered long enough to hit a massive Spear through the announce table. Saints beat the 10-count to win the bout, but he was promptly confronted by former NXT Champion Oba Femi.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

This week’s NXT offered a rough-and-ready build into the upcoming Gold Rush special. The opener with Tatum Paxley and The Culling did its job as character-work: Paxley owns the “champion” role but needs to stop handing out title opportunities to anyone who asks. The undercard had its moments – Tavion Heights defeating Josh Briggs was solid, but didn’t steal the show. The main event, though, was a visceral Last Man Standing match – Ricky Saints versus Trick Williams had weapon spots, blood, big risks and a finish that delivered. Saints retained and the return of Oba Femi at the end gave us something to look forward to going forward!
