by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Jasper Troy def. Axiom

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The massive Jasper Troy earned a championship opportunity by defeating SmackDown’s Axiom in a Speed Match. Axiom did what he could to fell the gigantic Troy, but he recognized that time wasn’t on his side. Troy hit a ring-shaking Black Hole Slam to win the match and earn the right to challenge El Grande Americano for the Men’s Speed Championship.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #2: Evolve Women’s Championship – Kendal Grey def. Lash Legend

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Kendal Grey continues to impress as she knocked off Lash Legend to remain Evolve Women’s Champion. The powerhouse proved why she’s one of NXT’s best, using her brute strength to muscle Grey out of the ring and continue the assault on the outside. Grey tried everything she could to regain the momentum, and a quick counter of Legend’s Big Boot in the corner proved to be the difference. The champion sprung into action and hit Shades of Grey to put the Boujee Bully down and retain her title.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Myles Borne def. Tavion Heights

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Myles Borne picked up another big win, this time over Tavion Heights in singles action. Despite being former teammates in the No Quarter Catch Crew, Borne and Heights put their friendship aside for one night and battled to a near stalemate. Josh Briggs, who was sitting in on commentary, tried to get involved, but was met with a stiff forearm from Heights. Heights went for his signature running belly-to-belly, but was rolled up by Borne for the win.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #4: NXT Women’s Championship – Tatum Paxley vs. Lola Vice (No Contest)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

New NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley was excited to defend her title against Lola Vice, but former champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid hit the scene and took everyone out. That action forced a No Contest in the match, meaning Paxley remained champion.

My Score: N/A out of 5

Match #5: TNA Knockouts Championship – Kelani Jordan def. Jordynne Grace

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The TNA Knockouts Championship remains with Kelani Jordan after a stellar match against Jordynne Grace. The Juggernaut had the power advantage as she managed to pick off Jordan in mid-air, but the champion countered with a huge Split-Legged Stunner. Suddenly, Trick Williams and NXT Champion Ricky Saints continued their brawl into the ringside area, allowing Jordan a window to crack Grace with the TNA Knockouts Title to win the bout

My Score: 3 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

This week’s NXT served as a solid post-Halloween Havoc episode, combining strong in-ring action with storyline setup. The show opened with Jasper Troy defeating Axiom in a high-energy Speed Championship #1‑contender match, giving Troy momentum heading into future title opportunities. In the women’s division, Kendal Grey retained her EVOLVE Women’s Championship over Lash Legend in a competitive contest that highlighted Grey’s resilience and versatility. Myles Borne secured a singles victory against Tavion Heights, showing off his technical skill and athleticism. Tensions rose in the women’s title scene as Tatum Paxley and Lola Vice’s match ended in a no-contest due to interference, teasing upcoming rivalries. The night closed with a hard-hitting showdown between Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace, with Jordan retaining the TNA Knockouts Championship in a fiercely contested bout. While largely transitional, the episode successfully showcased NXT’s top talent and set the stage for future storylines, making it at least an engaging watch.
