Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on this week’s post-Victory Road show…

Match #1: Matt Hardy, Leon Slater & Indi Hartwell def. Trick Williams, Kelani Jordan & Frankie Kazarian

Mike Santana joins Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary. Kazarian inadvertently strikes Williams allowing Slater to create separation and tag in Matt. The pace quickens as Matt brings the fight to Williams, hitting him with the Side Effect for two. Matt hits a double DDT on both Williams and Kazarian for another near fall. Kazaran hits the Slingshot Cutter on Slater. Hartwell soars with a top rope elbow drop to the back of Kazarian. Jordan and Hartwell brawl on the outside. Meanwhile, Williams goes face to face with Santana at the commentary table. Matt pushes Kazarian into Williams, who collides with Santana. Santana unleashes on Williams, while Slater flies with Big Play Slater. Slater puts Kazarian away with the Swanton 450 for three.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Match #2: Angel Warriors (Xia Brookside & Léi Yǐng Lee) def. Kat Von Heez & Ava Lawless

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Xia Brookside and Léi Yǐng Lee, together they are the Angel Warriors! Stepping up to this formidable new duo is the team of Kat Von Heez and Ava Lawless. The early advantage goes to Heez and Lawless as they cut off the ring and wear Brookside down. Brookside creates separation, then makes the tag to Lee. The tide begins to turn as Lee goes on the attack. Brookside neutralizes Lawless with a Codebreaker before The Angel Warriors put Heez away with Heaven Sent.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Nic Nemeth def. The Home Town Man

The Home Town Man steps up to Nic Nemeth one-on-one! It doesn’t take long for Ryan Nemeth to get involved from the outside, allowing Nic to take control. Home Town Man springs into action, connecting with the Home Town Slice. Home Town Man attempts the pin but Ryan saves his brother. Home Town Man takes out Ryan and retrieves the mask that was stolen from him at Victory Road. Nic capitalizes, scoring the victory following Danger Zone.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #4: Alisha Edwards def. Tasha Steelz

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

The war between Order 4 and The System continues as Tasha Steelz takes on Alisha Edwards! All members of both factions surround the ring. Alisha explodes out of the corner, connecting with her signature running crossbody. Steelz bounces back with a Falcon Arrow. Tensions are about to explode at ringside The System confronts Order 4. Meanwhile, Steelz swings and misses with a kendo stick. Alisha uses it to her advantage and Steelz away with a Pedigree.

Match #5: TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship – The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) def. The Elegance Brand (Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

It’s main event time as The IInspiration challenge The Elegance Brand for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship! M slows up Cassie Lee from the apron, giving her team the advantage. The fight spills to the outside where Heather drives Cassie face-first into the hardest part of the ring. Lee avoids an elbow drop and makes the tag to Jessie McKay. M trips up McKay and the advantage is once again with The Elegance Brand. McKay is about to tag out but Heather rips Lee off the apron. McKay is finally able to create separation and make the tag to Lee. Lee brings the fight to both members of The Elegance Brand and hits Heather with a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Heather rakes the eyes of Lee, then sends her into a superkick from M. Heather inadvertently splashes champagne in the face of M. The IInspiration hit Heather with The IIdolizer to score the victory and win the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles!

My Score: 3 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

This week’s show delivered a steady night of wrestling with a couple of big storyline shifts as Bound For Glory draws closer. The main event saw The IInspiration defeat The Elegance Brand to capture the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. The finish was chaotic, involving the Personal Concierge and a misfired attempt at interference, but it gave the match a dramatic closing moment and sets up further fallout down the line. Elsewhere, the Angel Warriors scored another strong victory to keep their momentum building, while Nic Nemeth defeated The Home Town Man thanks to his brother’s timely distraction. The post-match beatdown kept their feud heated, even with Matt Cardona’s attempted save. In women’s action, Alisha Edwards picked up a win over Tasha Steelz in a match that further fueled the Order 4 vs. The System rivalry. The night was rounded out with heavy promos, from Frankie Kazarian’s lengthy “King’s Speech” to tension between Gia Miller and Tessa Blanchard. While some of the talking segments dragged, they did push stories forward and raised stakes for the pay-per-view. Overall, this was a solid episode that felt like it had more of an in-ring focus than other recent shows – which is a win in my book!
