‘WWE Smackdown’ Review (Aug 15th 2025)
Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Alexa Bliss def. Piper Niven
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair helped her follow titleholder Alexa Bliss neutralize the disruptive Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. This paved the way for Five Feet of Fury to overcome a dominating Piper Niven with the roll up. Seconds after the bell, however, Bliss and Flair ultimately fell victim to the numbers game as The Secret Hervice executed a 3-on-1 post match onslaught.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #2: Melo Don’t Miz def. Fraxiom
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Just when Carmelo Hayes was about to deliver Nothing But Net on Nathan Frazer, The Miz suddenly tagged himself into the match and stole the pin away with a Skull Crushing Finale.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: The Street Profits def. #DIY
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the height of the action, Angelo Dawkins drove Tommaso Ciampa to the canvas and set up Montez Ford to hit the splash from the heavens to give The Street Profits a hard-fought victory over #DYI.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: Sami Zayn, Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso def. The MFTs
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
When the Six-Man Tag Team Match descended into chaos, Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso helped take out The MFTs both inside and outside the ring and cleared the way for Sami Zayn to blast Solo Sikoa with the Helluva Kick to once again pin the United States Champion.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2.5/5
This week’s show was a mixed bag that never fully clicked. While there were flashes of quality, most notably in-ring work from top stars and some intriguing storyline teases, the overall pacing felt uneven and several segments dragged without payoff. The main event lacked the spark of recent weeks, and some undercard matches felt more like filler than meaningful progression. That said, there were still enjoyable moments sprinkled throughout, preventing the show from being a total miss. Ultimately, it was a middling effort that delivered just enough to keep interest alive.
