‘WWE NXT’ Review (Jul 15th 2025)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Trick Williams, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana vs. DarkState
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
An incredible Six-Man Tag Team Match between TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana against DarkState was interrupted by TNA’s The System in chaotic fashion. Santana brought the fight right to DarkState, but his team’s momentum was lost when the cocky Williams showboated too much and was laid out by Osiris Griffin. DarkState dominated until Hendry tagged in as the former TNA World Champion cleaned house with his signature Fallaway Slams. Williams berated his teammates and the duo took him out and The System appeared to brawl with DarkState, leaving all of the TNA stars standing tall.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: Evolve Women’s Championship Match – Kali Armstrong vs. Karmen Petrovic
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Kali Armstrong and Karmen Petrovic’s Evolve Women’s Championship Match was interrupted by a rampaging Jordynne Grace.
My Score: o out of 5
Match #3: Triple Threat Match – Tony D’Angelo def. Stacks and Luca Crusifino
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Family Business Triple Threat Match ended in spectacular fashion with Tony D’Angelo walking away as the victor. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo was ruthless in his attempt to win, but the Triple Threat nature kept the win elusive. The crowd erupted when The Don smashed Stacks through a wall in the arena with a Spear, and D’Angelo tossed him back into the ring so he could hit a thunderous Spinebuster to win the match.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: Masha Slamovich, Sol Ruca & Zaria def. Fatal Influence
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The team of TNA Women’s World Champion Masha Slamovich, NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca and Zaria made a statement by beating Fatal Influence in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. Slamovich, Ruca and Zaria worked wonders together, using their unique offensive skillsets to keep Nyx down and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne frustrated. Jayne fought back, but Slamovich was incredible with her brutal strikes and spinning heel kicks. The Culling arrived on the scene but were repelled by Ruca & Zaria as well as NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank. Slamovich was left alone with Fatal Influence, but the TNA Women’s World Champion hit Jayne with a Northern Lights Bomb to win the match.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
This week’s episode of WWE NXT was another strong entry, boosted significantly by the ongoing TNA crossover that continues to inject freshness and unpredictability into the brand. With stars like Joe Hendry and Mike Santana bringing their charisma and in-ring credibility, NXT has become more layered and exciting than it’s been in months. The joint storytelling arcs are giving NXT a true “anything can happen” atmosphere, something it hasn’t felt in years. The mix of homegrown talent and outsider flair is clicking, all helping NXT to feel more must-see than Raw or SmackDown right now — and that’s saying something.
