Match #5: Joe Hendry & Elijah def. The Colóns (Eddie & Orlando)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
It’s main event time as TNA World Champion Joe Hendry joins forces with Elijah to battle The Colóns! Elijah goes old school on Eddie in the early going. Hendry puts his strength on display, hitting Orlando with a stalling suplex. Hendry connects with a Fallaway Slam on Eddie. The Colóns gain control as they slow the pace and begin to wear Hendry down. Hendry fights out of a Guillotine from Eddie, reversing into a vertical suplex to create separation. Hendry makes the tag to Elijah, who goes on the attack. Elijah hits a mid-air knee strike on Orlando but Eddie breaks the pin. The fight spills to the outside with Hendry but in the ring, Elijah hits a Piledriver to score the victory for his team.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
A good episode of TNA this week, not quite as good as last week’s show but still a solid outing. Weird seeing the Colons appear, and Elijah – who’d just appeared in a promo on Ring of Honor. I don’t like seeing Masha Slamovich in a squash match, she deserves more, though her announced match against NXT’s Cora Jade at Sacrifice is gonna be pretty high profile! Nice to see Leon Slater delivering yet another great match in TNA too!
