‘WWE NXT’ Review (Feb 18th 2025)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: No. 1 Contender Triple Threat Match – Karmen Petrovic def. Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Karmen Petrovic is one step closer to winning her first championship as she defeated Kelani Jordan and Jaida Parker in Triple Threat action. Parker and Jordan went right at each other nearly the entire match, with Ashante “Thee” Adonis even pulling Petrovic out of the ring to spare her from more damage. After Parker celebrated a second rope hip drop, Adonis rolled Petrovic into the ring where she promptly pinned Jordan, stunning everyone, especially Parker.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: Sol Ruca & Zaria def. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The team of Sol Ruca and Zaria continue to improve their chemistry and got their biggest win as a team to date as they took down The Meta Girls Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. The teamwork of Legend and Jackson proved strong early, but Zaria managed to isolate Jackson and hit her with a huge Spear and an F5 before tagging in Ruca for a picture-perfect Sol Snatcher.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #3: Shawn Spears def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Underboss did all he could, but Shawn Spears destroyed Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo’s neck en route to a dominant victory, capped off by a huge C4.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: Eddy Thorpe def. Andre Chase
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The gleam in the eye of Andre Chase was back for mere moments as he went for his signature Chase U offense, but with the school now defunct, he fell back into his depression mid-match, allowing Eddy Thorpe to pick up the win.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer & Jordynne Grace def. Fatal Influence
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The dream team of NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer & Jordynne Grace conquered Fatal Influence in impressive fashion in a Six-Woman’s Tag Team Match. Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley unleashed a brutal attack on The Dark Angel, but Vaquer finally managed to tag in The Juggernaut and that’s when the match flipped. Grace proceeded to clean house and with some help from timely moves by Giulia and Vaquer, she hit a Juggernaut Driver to secure the win for her team.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
News of the Night:
- TNA star Moose turned up to challenge NXT champ Obi Fema
- Former NWA/AEW star Ricky Starks signed his NXT contract and his new [sh*tty] name was revealed… “Ricky Saints” (WTF?!)
Final Verdict: 3/5
Yes! Thankfully this week’s NXT was a great improvement over the past couple of weeks, with solid matches across the board leading to a great main event. No idea what the hell Ricky’s new name is all about… If you didn’t want him to use his original name, why not go with “Pretty” Ricky? That fits his shtick completely and would be better than giving me a crappy new surname, Buy hey, at least he’s not suffered as badly as Pete “Butch” Dunne lol. Good stuff all round. Hopefully, next week lives up to this show!
