‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Dec 5th 2024)
Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling, Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on the show…

Match #1: KUSHIDA def. Leon Slater, Ace Austin, Trent Seven & JDC
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Ace Austin, Trent Seven, Leon Slater, KUSHIDA and JDC clash for an X-Division Title opportunity against Moose at Final Resolution! Slater hits JDC with a twisting neckbreaker but KUSHIDA breaks the pin. Austin fights off a Hoverboard Lock from KUSHIDA and connects with The Art of Finesse. KUSHIDA locks in an armbar on Austin as Slater soars with a splash to break it up. Slater takes to the skies once again, leaping over the corner ring post into his opponents on the floor. JDC slows up Slater on the top, allowing KUSHIDA to capitalize with Back to the Future to win!
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: PCO & Sami Callihan def. The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Following an altercation during a game of Thanksgiving poker last week, Digital Media and International Heavyweight Wrestling Champion PCO unites with Sami Callihan to battle The Good Hands! Hotch illegally attacks Callihan from the apron, allowing Skyler to gain control. Callihan creates separation with a clothesline to Skyler, then makes the tag to PCO. Callihan lifts PCO over the top rope as he crashes into Hotch and Skyler on the outside. PCO hits Hotch with an assisted PCO-Sault to win!
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #3: TNA World Tag Team Championship – The Hardys (Matt & Jeff) def. The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers receive their contractually-obligated rematch for the TNA World Tag Team Titles as they challenge The Hardys! Eddie and Myers target the left leg of Matt in the early going, taking away his high-flying offense. Matt counters the Roster Cut from Myers into a Side Effect. Matt makes the much-needed tag to Jeff, and the pace begins to quicken. Jeff flies with Whisper in the Wind to both members of The System. Moments later, The Hardys bounce back with a Plot Twist to Eddie, followed by a splash. The Hardys bring out a table but Alisha attacks them with a kendo stick to cause the disqualification!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #4: Tasha Steelz def. Jordynne Grace
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Jordynne Grace and Tasha Steelz renew their rivalry as both look for perhaps another opportunity at becoming Knockouts World Champion! Rosemary is seen watching on from the rafters. Grace hits a stalling vertical suplex. Steelz turns the tide with a foot stomp in the corner. Grace repeatedly drives her neck-first into the corner turnbuckle. Steelz hits Sliced Bread for two. Alisha Edwards comes to ringside with a kendo stick. Alisha gets up on the apron, allowing Steelz to capitalize off the distraction. Steelz pins Grace with her feet on the ropes to win!
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: The Northern Armory (Josh Alexander, Judas Icarus & Travis Williams) & Frankie Kazarian def. Steve Maclin, Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham & Mike Santana
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
A huge 8-man tag team match headlines iMPACT! as The Northern Armory join forces with Frankie Kazarian to battle Steve Maclin, Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham and Mike Santana! Joe Hendry, fresh off his victory in the Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl at Turning Point, joins Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary. Kazarian goads his opponents into illegally entering the match, allowing his team to assault Maclin while the referee is distracted. Kazarian attempts a Chicken Wing but Maclin breaks free and makes the tag to Gresham. Kazarian shuts him down a backstabber. Young and Alexander face off but Icarus prevents Young from hitting the top rope elbow drop. Santana cleans house with double Rolling Buck 50 to Icarus and Williams. Gresham ducks, causing Icarus to inadvertently strike Kazarian. Alexander almost puts Gresham away with a spinning Piledriver. It’s chaos as a brawl ensues at ringside. Kazarian attacks Gresham with his Call Your Shot trophy as Alexander scores the pinfall to win!
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
Another good show this week, though I think there was a slight dip in quality over the company’s last original show (because last week was an “unseen match” special). As I keep saying though, I can’t help but feel some of the excitement of TNA has gone – some of the matches, while good examples of wrestling, don’t feel as energetic and “must-see” as they were only a few months ago. The tag scene has been killed by The Hardy’s, PCO’s shtick is done, and Jordynne Grace is obviously on her way out the door. The only saving grace? It looks like Josh Alexander’s heel turn is working now he’s got backup of Icarus & Williams. Hopefully the Northern Armory stable can provide the TNA heels with a much-needed injection of excitement!
