‘WWE NXT’ Review (Oct 22nd 2024)
Welcome to this week’s review of NXT, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…

Match #1: Damage CTRL vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (No Contest)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Former NXT Women’s Champions IYO SKY and Kairi Sane returned to NXT for a tag team match against The Meta-Four’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, but they left with even more enemies. SKY and Sane’s quickness was met with sheer power from Lash Legend who at one point dribbled their heads like basketballs on the middle rope. With the action going back and forth inside the ring, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green and Piper Niven crashed the scene and forced a No Contest by laying out all four Superstars.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #2: Jaida Parker def. Tatum Paxley
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jaida Parker is back in the win column after a convincing victory over Tatum Paxley. The strange Paxley was up for the challenge and used her unorthodox offense to keep Parker off-balance, but the pure power of Parker was too much to overcome. After one glancing drive by Hip-notic, Parker ran the ropes and hit a thunderous one to secure her win. After the match, Lola Vice attempted to attack Parker, and Wendy Choo abducted Paxley.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #3: Oba Femi def. Luca Crusifino
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The monstrous Oba Femi destroyed Luca Crusifino in a singles match and followed that up with a brutal attack. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo attempted to help, but he too was laid out, forcing Tony D’Angelo to come out, only for Femi to handcuff him and make him watch the brutality.
My Score: 0 out of 5
Match #4: Sol Ruca def. Karmen Petrovic
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sol Ruca earned a win over Karmen Petrovic, but the situation regarding Ashante “Thee” Adonis is getting that much stranger. Ruca and Petrovic battled inside the ring, but Adonis was spotted in the crowd with another woman, prompting Petrovic to get increasingly distracted, only for Ruca to nail a Sol Snatcher and win the bout.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #5: Hank Walker & Tank Ledger def. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A fired up Hank and Tank electrified the NXT Universe with their high-octane offense, but Price and Nima were battling blow for blow. Parker went for a Hip-notic on Ledger, but Vice intercepted her and amidst the chaos, Custer decked Nima with his racing helmet, allowing Hank and Tank to get the win.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #6: Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer def. Fatal Influence
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer earned a victory over Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne ahead of their tag team match at Halloween Havoc. The hard-hitting Beautiful Madness brought her sense of strong style to the match, and every bit was matched by The Dark Angel, but a resilient Henley and Jayne weathered the early storm. Jazmyn Nyx attempted to get involved, but she was taken out by Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan, allowing Vaquer and Giulia to earn the victory clean. After the match, Jordan, Giulia and Vaquer celebrated while NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade watched from the perch. Fatal Influence attempted to spin the Halloween Havoc wheel, but were interrupted by the shocking debut of Zaria.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2/5
Wha a bad epsiode of NXT this was. The matches were either too short, of zero consequence or just plain dull that this episode of NXT was very hard to sit through. Not even the appearance of Gullia and Vaquer in the main event could save this show from the doldrums! Can’t believe that this was the go-home show for Halloween Havoc… Urgh.
