‘Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come’ Video Review
After the surprise success of the first film, Kevin went into Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come with genuine excitement, hoping lightning might strike twice for this horror-slash-comedy follow-up.
After surviving one deadly game, Grace and her sister Faith must now outrun four rival families competing for a powerful throne – winner takes all.
Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the film once again leans into that blend of chaos, dark humour and over-the-top violence that made the original such a hit. The script, co-written by Guy Busick, R. Christopher Murphy and Bettinelli-Olpin himself, aims to expand on the madness while keeping the tone firmly tongue-in-cheek.
Front and centre is Samara Weaving, bringing her now-signature mix of grit and scream-queen energy, alongside Kathryn Newton and Elijah Wood, who help round out a cast that clearly understands the assignment. The result is a sequel that sets out to deliver more of everything—more blood, more laughs, and more mayhem – while trying to live up to the expectations set by its predecessor.
