Exclusive Interview: Amy Lockley, Associate Producer of short film ‘The Pearl Comb’

Kevin was at HORRHIFFIC 2026 and sat down to chat with Amy Lockley, the Associate Producer of the short film The Pearl Comb. Directed by Ali Cook, the producer of Cunnning Man.

The Pearl Comb has been smashing it on the festival circuit and is even BAFTA longlisted and Oscar Shortlisted. All the while picking up 3 wins at Romford Horror this year, including Best Director and Best Actor for Simon Armstrong.

In 1893, an endearing Cornish fisherman’s wife captures the attention of the medical profession as the first person to ever cure someone of Tuberculosis. A doctor is sent to investigate her miraculous claim, hell bent on proving a woman’s place is in the home and not practicing medicine… only to discover the source of her unearthly power.
