‘WWE Raw’ Review (Jan 12th 2026)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Je’Von Evans def. Bravo Americano

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Despite interference from Los Americanos, newly signed Raw Superstar Je’Von Evans defeated Bravo Americano with an awe-inspiring Spanish fly off the top rope and the OG Cutter.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #2: Triple Threat Tag Match – Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez def. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and The Kabuki Warriors

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria as well as The Kabuki Warriors in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match after Morgan dropped Kairi Sane with Oblivion. With the win, The Judgment Day became the No. 1 Contenders to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Penta & Dragon Lee def. Bronson Reed & Austin Theory (DQ)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Bron Breakker suddenly emerged to hit Penta and Dragon Lee with earth-shattering Spears. As a result, Penta and Lee defeated Bronson Reed and Austin Theory by disqualification. The attack by The Badass came after the two Superstars helped cost Breakker a chance to win the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk last week on Raw. Following the match, an irate Adam Pearce spun Breakker around and berated him. Breakker responded by grabbing Pearce and backing him into the corner before being pulled away by The Vision.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #4: Gunther def. AJ Styles

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After the official failed to see Gunther tap out when AJ Styles had him trapped in the Calf Crusher, The Ring General hit Styles with an uppercut below the belt before winning with a thunderous Powerbomb.

My Score: 4 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

This week’s Raw was a strong, if occasionally uneven, episode elevated by one undeniable factor: the German crowd. From the opening bell they were loud, engaged, and relentlessly vocal, giving even the smaller moments a sense of scale and urgency. Je’Von Evans’ flashy debut got a warm reception, the women’s triple threat delivered solid action without quite hitting top gear, and the Penta/Dragon Lee DQ felt more like storyline plumbing than a true showcase. But Gunther vs AJ Styles was the night’s anchor – a hard-hitting, dramatic main event that felt bigger thanks to the crowd’s fervent support for their hometown Ring General. Not a perfect Raw, but a memorable one, driven by atmosphere and capped by a main event that reminded you why international crowds can make a good show feel great.
