‘WWE Raw’ Review (Aug 4th 2025)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Sheamus vs. Rusev (Double Count-out)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sheamus and Rusev continued their epic rivalry, trading haymakers and brutality as Sheamus hit an enormous White Noise from the top rope. The Celtic Warrior slammed Rusev on the table, but The Bulgarian Brute threw Sheamus into the ring steps. Rusev mocked Sheamus, delivering his own version of The Beats of the Bodhran outside the ring. Sheamus pummeled Rusev with the classic 10 Beats of the Bodhran. After the two sets of the Beats of the Bodhran, Rusev and Sheamus were counted out. After the match, Sheamus and Rusev kept brawling, despite officials trying to separate them.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #2: Penta def. Grayson Waller
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Still attempting to join The New Day, who watched from ringside, Grayson Waller battled Penta. Despite a great effort from Waller, Penta put him away with a breathtaking Mexican Destroyer. After the match, Penta took out The New Day and adorned Xavier Woods’ mourning hat.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss def. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defended their newly won WWE Women’s Tag Team Title against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in an impromptu match. The Judgment Day looked strong, as Rodriguez battered Bliss outside the ring with a reverse powerslam on the barricade before landing a nasty big boot. Flair clobbered Rodriguez and Perez with a moonsault but could only get a two-count. Perez looked to hit an outside dive, but she was caught with a decisive Sister Abigail from Bliss.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #4: Dominik Mysterio def. Dragon Lee
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio took on Dragon Lee in a non-title fight. Just as Lee looked primed to put away Mysterio, three El Grande Americanos arrived to distract Lee. This allowed Mysterio to get the victory with a rollup while grabbing the tights. After the match, AJ Styles prevented Mysterio from using his boot on Lee.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #5: World Heavyweight Championship – Seth Rollins def. LA Knight (DQ)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
LA Knight looked to win his first world title as he took on the new World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The Megastar had an extra advantage, as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were barred from ringside. Knight hit a Burning Hammer but could only get a two-count as the WWE Universe in Brooklyn erupted into a “this is awesome” chant. The Visionary and The Megastar destroyed the announce area, as Knight repeatedly slammed Rollins face-first into the table. Rollins looked to punish Knight, tearing away the mat to expose the concrete. Just as Rollins was about to pummel Knight, CM Punk appeared and attacked The Visionary to cause the disqualification.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2.75/5
After the high-stakes drama and electric atmosphere of the two-night SummerSlam spectacle, this week’s episode of WWE Raw felt like a deflating comedown. The pacing dragged, storylines stalled, and the crowd energy just wasn’t there. While a post-PPV cooldown is expected, this show lacked any real hook to keep the momentum going. Only the women’s tag team match and the main event stood out as worth watching—everything else felt like filler. Instead of capitalizing on the buzz, Raw seemed content to coast. It wasn’t terrible, just disappointingly forgettable after such a high note over the weekend.
