‘WWE Raw’ Review (Jul 21st 2025)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Sheamus def. Rusev
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sheamus and Rusev collided in another epic battle. Sheamus connected with a huge clothesline from the top of the ropes onto Rusev on the outside, but Rusev hit The Celtic Warrior with a fallaway slam onto the announce table. The Celtic Warrior executed 10 Beats of the Bodhran before dialing up the Brogue Kick, but The Bulgarian Brute evaded it and hit a bruising powerbomb. Rusev tried to nail a Machka Kick, but Sheamus landed a high knee strike to leave both down. Rusev hit a huge kick before cinching in the Accolade, but Sheamus forced the break. Rusev exposed the turnbuckle, but it backfired as Sheamus sent Rusev face-first into the exposed steel. With the referee’s back turned, Rusev retrieved Sheamus’ shillelagh, but The Celtic Warrior struck with a Brogue Kick to win the match.
My Score: out of 5
Match #2: Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro def. The New Day and The Creed Brothers
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
All three teams gave it their all until Ivy Nile tried to interfere on behalf of The Creed Brothers. Dragon Lee halted Nile in her tracks until he was stopped by El Grande Americano. Americano got into it with American Made at ringside, allowing The LWO to get the victory.
My Score: out of 5
Match #3: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez def. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria formed a tenuous alliance as they took on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, cashing in the chance they were to supposed to get at WrestleMania. Bayley and Valkyria tried to perform a double suplex on Rodriguez, but Big Mami Cool suplexed both of them instead. Bayley and Valkyria nearly got the win after The Role Model hit a huge elbow drop, but Rodriguez stopped the pinfall. Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio attempted to get involved but was accidentally struck with a big boot from Rodriguez. As medical personnel came down to check on Mysterio, AJ Styles appeared to attack Mysterio. Becky Lynch made a surprise emergence as well, ambushing Valkyria. This allowed Rodriguez to hit the Tejana Bomb on Bayley to retain the title.
My Score: out of 5
Match #4: Karrion Kross def. Sami Zayn
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A heavily bandaged Sami Zayn looked for another win against Karrion Kross after defeating him at Night of Champions. The taped ribs caused issues for Zayn as Scarlett took a cheap shot to Zayn’s ribs while the referee’s back was turned. Zayn was readying for a Helluva Kick, but Scarlett distracted him and the referee, allowing Kross to hit Zayn with a steel pipe to the injured midsection to get the victory.
My Score: out of 5
Match #5: IYO SKY vs. Stephane Vaquer (No-contest)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer battled once again after their last encounter ended without a decisive victor. SKY went for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Vaquer evaded with a knee right across the throat of The Genius of the Sky on the ring apron. Vaquer then executed a Devil’s Kiss on the apron before performing it inside the ring as well. Just as Vaquer hit a superb reverse suplex from the top rope, Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre and Piper Niven attacked Vaquer, but Vaquer and SKY fended them off until Women’s World Champion Naomi ambushed them. Rhea Ripley provided backup, however, as she helped Vaquer and SKY deal with the invaders.
