‘WWE Raw’ Review (Jun 16th 2025)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on this week’s Netflix-broadcast show…

Match #1: Asuka def. Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile and Raquel Rodriguez
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the height of an explosive Fatal 4-Way Match, Rhea Ripley emerged from nowhere to pull Raquel Rodriguez out of the ring as she was attempting to pin Stephanie Vaquer. After hitting Riptide on the ringside floor., Asuka followed up with a Empress Impact on Rodriguez for the three-count. As a result, Asuka will advance to the Semifinals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: AJ Styles def. JD McDonagh
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite Dominik Mysterio’s interference, AJ Styles overcame JD McDonagh with a Styles Clash out of nowhere. After the bell, The Phenomenal One repeled a post-match attack by “Dirty” Dom and walked off with his title.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane
The following is NOT courtesy of wwe.com (who are acting like this match never even happened):
Kairi took down Liv early doors, planting her – almost -face first on the mat, popping out Liv’s right arm in the process. The match was stopped.
My Score: N/A out of 5
Match #4: Jey Uso def. Sheamus, Rusev, Bronson Reed
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“Main Event” Jey Uso took advantage of chaos inside and outside the ring to overcome Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed and advance in the King of the Ring First Tournament. With LA Knight, Penta, and Sami Zayn emerging to to even the odds on outside interference, Jey hit a Super Kick, a Spear, and two Splashes to pick up the win and advance in the tournament. When Seth Rollins emerged to attempt to attack just moments after Uso’s win, Cody Rhodes charges to stand in the way.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2/5
I get it, we lost one match to a legitimate injury, but still, THREE matches on a three-hour show? WTF. Padded out to the point of ridiculousness, this week’s Raw was one of the low points, in terms of number of matches, for the show since hitting Netflix. At least the matches we did get were decent. Decent, but not great. Ultimately, this episode was all about the injury, and it will be interesting to see what happens with Liv going forward, especially given her apparent involvement in the forthcoming Evolution 2 pay-per-view.
