Terror Takes the Wheel: Obscura Film unleashes cast for upcoming Horror-Thriller ‘Kill Trip’

by Phil Wheat

Obscura Film has officially revealed the blood-chilling cast for Kill Trip, a brutal new horror-thriller set to turn the sun-scorched highways and lonely backroads of Texas into a slaughterhouse.

In Kill Trip, a group of carefree festival-goers hitch a ride toward what should be the best weekend of their lives — but when they trust the wrong stranger, their journey spirals into a waking nightmare. As their numbers begin to dwindle and bodies mysteriously vanish, survival becomes a desperate race against an unseen evil lurking just beneath the surface. One grim truth remains: not everyone will live to see Austin.

Fronting the doomed caravan are horror veterans and familiar faces:

  • Samaire Armstrong (Stay Alive, The O.C.)
  • Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose)
  • Stelio Savante (Infidel, The Chosen)
  • Todd Jenkins (The Channel, The Huntsman)
  • Brittany McVicker (Secret Life of a Sorority Girl, Break)

They’re also joined by a fresh wave of young blood, injecting raw energy and terror into this savage descent into darkness.

Helming the chaos is writer-director-producer Kristian McKay (Ventaja, Summer Orbit), an award-winning filmmaker whose previous work captured critical acclaim across the globe. McKay’s tense, high-stakes storytelling earned him the Golden Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival, and Ventaja even vied for Ecuador’s submission for the Academy Awards. Kill Trip marks McKay’s haunting American feature debut.

Principal photography is set to begin this month, deep in the eerie rural sprawl of Central Texas – the perfect backdrop for bloodshed. Produced under the banner of Obscura Film, Kill Trip promises a nerve-shredding journey where trust kills and escape is not an option!
