‘WWE Raw’ Review (Apr 7th 2025)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on the now Netflix-broadcast show…

Match #1: Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match – Lyra Valkyria def. Bayley
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In an explosive matchup, Lyra Valkyria successfully defended the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley when she countered a Rose Plant to pick up the quick three-count.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #2: El Grande Americano & The Creed Brothers def. Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde & Dragon Lee
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Ivy Nile passed what appeared to be a piece of metal to El Grande Americano. He quickly placed it inside his mask and then used it to take out Rey Mysterio as the WWE Hall of Famer jumped on the apron to dispute what was in the mask. El Grande Americano then hit Dragon Lee with a flying headbutt to steal a Six-Man Tag Team Match win for himself and The Creeds.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #3: World Tag Team Championship Match – The New Day def. The War Raiders (DQ)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Just when it looked as if The War Raiders might successfully defend their World Tag Team Championship against The New Day, Xavier Woods introduced a steel chair into the mix. Erik took it from him, but as he hit his opponent with the weapon, the official saw it and disqualified the titleholders. After the match, The New Day unleashed a vicious assault on The War Raiders.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #4: Penta def. Dominik Mysterio
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Moments after Penta overcame Dominik Mysterio, Carlito and “Dirty” Dom launched a 2-on-1 post-match attack. This soon brought Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker to the ring, and he leveled Carlito, Dominik and Penta with a trio of Spears. Then, from out of nowhere, Finn Bálor emerged to execute a sneak attack on The Unpredictable Badass.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 2.75/5
This week’s WWE Raw opened with General Manager Adam Pearce adding Rhea Ripley to the Women’s World Championship match much to the disdain of champ IYO SKY. The tag title match between The New Day and The War Raiders was physical and chaotic, though the DQ finish felt like a cheap dusty finish. Penta’s win over Dominik was solid, but Bron Breakker’s post-match spear completely stole the moment. Lyra and Bayley delivered a banger of a title match, solidifying Lyra’s reign. But the Rollins, Heyman, and Punk drama that ended the show? Pure gold.
