Final Verdict: 3.5/5

Another week of the Continental Classic and another great episode of AEW television! All three tournament matches delivered over and above the rest of the show, whilst the remaining matches were all good in their own way – though AEW managed to just squeak through 2 matches that were not… not… quite squash matches but a little less offence from the loser and we’d 100% be in squash match territory. The match between Adam Page and Wheeler Yuta was an interesting one though – yes, we got great wrestling but we also got some rather interesting story beats post-match, with the Death Riders seemingly abandoning Yuta to his fate and Jay White looking to insert himself as both an opponent of Page AND the Death Riders! I’m still very intrigued where all this Death Riders versus AEW talent is headed, I just hope Tony Khan and co. can stick the landing.
