‘WWE Raw’ Review (Nov 18th 2024)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega def. Chad Gable & Ivy Nile

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After Zelina Vega took down Ivy Nile outside the ring, Rey Mysterio countered Chad Gable’s German suplex to throw him into position for a 619/tadpole splash combination for the win. When The Creed Brothers emerged to help him up after the bell, Master Gable responded aggressively by shoving his cohorts, leading to a shouting match between the embattled faction.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #2: Intercontinental Title Match – Bron Breakker def. Sheamus (DQ)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When Bron Breakker charged around the ring to Spear Sheamus at ringside, Ludwig Kaiser intercepted his assault from out of nowhere to bring an early end to the classic Intercontinental Title showdown. After finishing his attack on the titleholder, Kaiser charged at The Celtic Warrior and smashed him into the steel ring steps.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: The War Raiders def. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Carlito

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Moments after Erik and Ivar wrecked “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio with a tandem move and pinned Carlito with War Machine, WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh launched a post-match attack on the powerful No. 1 Contenders.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #4: “Big” Bronson Reed def. Seth “Freakin” Rollins

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In the opening minutes of Seth “Freakin” Rollins battling “Big” Bronson Reed in a highly anticipated rematch, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa emerged at ringside from the crowd. They were quickly met by The Usos and Sami Zayn, who charged in to even the odds and fought their disruptive adversaries into the crowd. After the chaos, Solo Sikoa suddenly emerged on top of the announce table as The Visionary was climbing to the top rope. The distraction allowed Reed to gain the advantage and land an earth-shattering Tsunami for the win, showing that Reed is already benefiting from his new alliance with Solo’s Bloodline.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

A pretty decent show this week, one that felt like it made better use of the shorter two-hour format than other recent shows. Thankfully we got two good matches this week – the Intercontinental title match, even though it ended thanks to a disqualification; and the main event, which continued the Reed/Rollins feud to great success.
