Final Verdict: 4/5

What a great show we got this week! The week’s Collision was bookended by two fantastic women’s matches – with the main event walking the fine line between hardcore match and AEW’s typical blood-fests! Anna Jay has improved leaps and bounds during her time at Stardom and that, along with her recent matches in AEW have all seemingly led to this main event. And kudos to Mariah May, a woman who came in looking like an old-school “diva” style wrestler and who has levelled up the women’s division with her characterisation AND her in-ring work! Shout out to Shelton Benjamin too, who managed to slow down the fast-paced high-flying Komander in a brilliant display of pure wrestling skill, in the episode’s other fantastic match. The only downside this week? The squash match… Though to be fair, if that squash means were getting Powerhouse Hobbs back as a badass killing machine, and this is the start? Well I’m here for it!
