Final Verdict: 4/5

Well what can you say? This week’s Dynamite was ostensibly ENTIRELY about that opening match. A match that went seconds short of the full 60-minute time limit and a match that demonstrated everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that is great about professional wrestling, no matter the brand. It’s a match that should be studided in the future by up-and-comers. I thought MJF had peaked ijn AEW but I was, satisfyingly, wrong. As for the rest of the show, there was no way anything was going to follow that opener but good god, they tried – and the Nyla Rose/Mercedes Mone match turned out a LOT better than I expected TBH. Of course the main event was really used as a vehicle to driver interest in Blood and Guts but hey, seeing Darby descend from the rafters was one hell of a crowd-pleasing finish! Great show. Unmissable stuff once again.
