Back This! – ‘Ascension Tactics: Inferno’ Board Game

Stone Blade Entertainment are currently in the midst of a VERY successful crowdfunding campaign for Ascension Tactics: Inferno – the standalone sequel to Ascension Tactics which, on launch, was successfully funded in four minutes!

The Kickstarter campaign got off to a phenomenal start, with Ascension Tactics: Inferno fully funded right out of the gate and currently enjoying over 1000% of its funding goal. This follows weeks of hype from fans of both Ascension and the original Ascension Tactics games who unlocked an exclusive-to-Kickstarter Beelzepug miniature before the campaign even launched. The so-called Lord of Barkness will join more than 50 new beautiful custom miniatures, exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign.

There are plenty more exclusive miniatures that have been unlocked and more bonuses available if the campaign reaches more stretch fund goals in the coming days too, with social sharing quests for backers, as well as monetary stretch goals that will make even more miniatures available to enhance player’s experience when they get the game to the table.

Players will discover a brand-new faction, The Fallen, which come with a host of their own Champions, Constructs and Heroes. Another new gameplay twist, the Transform mechanic, allows some Champions to change into even more powerful versions, replacing their cards and their miniatures on the battlefield. This brings another level of in-depth, tactical gameplay to complement the existing rules and mechanics from Ascension Tactics.

Players don’t need to be familiar with the first game, however. Ascension Tactics: Inferno offers a collection of brand-new scenarios, a PvP mode and a cooperative mode allowing up to 4 players to battle against a common enemy. Both games can be combined for a full Ascension Tactics experience with backers having the opportunity to purchase the original Ascension Tactics and its 45 unique miniatures.
