News of the Night:

  1. Renne Paquette joined AEW, debuting in this Canadian special.
  2. Shawn Spears returned to AEW and is set to team with FTR on Rampage this week.

Final Verdict: 4.5/5

What a great show this week. This episode started strong and continued solidly until the ROH title match raised the bar for the rest of the show. The women’s trios match knocked it out of the park and… Sod it. EVERYTHING paled in comparison to the main event. Orange Cassidy WON THE BELT! He WON the All-Atlantic Championship! OC is now an AEW CHAMPION! As someone who’s been rooting for Cassidy since day one of AEW, good god the end of that match felt so satisfying – definitely a crowd-pleaser!! Well, unless you’re Jim Cornette of course..!
