Guests will come on and chat about their film making experiences from directors, writers, producers, screenwriters, actors, cinematographers and distributors.

The Filmmaker’s Podcast #277: Stephen Fry on Harry Potter, Acting, Directing, and Mental Health

Today on the show, we welcome the living legend Stephen Fry. You may recognise his voice from the Harry Potter audiobooks or from many of the films you’ve probably seen. His long list of credits includes V for Vendetta (2005), Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), The Hobbit films, The Dropout (2022), and many, many more. Stephen sat down with our hosts, Giles Alderson, Tori Butler-Hart and Matt Butler-Hart, to talk about his amazing career. He goes in-depth about his work in the Harry Potter world and talks about what he’s learned from the big directors he’s worked with. He gives tips and tricks about directing and acting, shares funny set stories and discusses the importance of mental health. It goes without saying that this is probably one of our most epic conversations so far. It’s Stephen Fry! So, sit back, relax and enjoy this week’s episode!
