News of the Night:

  1. Chris Jericho has another new stable, which includes ever-loyal Jake Hager, 2point0 and Daniel Garcia.
  2. Jeff Hardy made his [expected] AEW debut.

Final Verdict: 3/5

A good episode of Dynamite again this week – though I take umbrage with a couple of the matches. I would have liked to see JD Drake get a better deal out of his tag match against Danielson and Moxley and, honestly, I would have rather seen Leyla Hirsch win her match against Thunder Rosa. I’m not bothered about seeing Thunder Rosa versus Britt Baker again. It’s tired, it’s played out. I’m a fan of Leyla Hirsch (obviously) and to see her in a title match would be refreshing. Unlike some, I appreciated that post-match interview with Adam Page, showing respect for Dante Martin and putting him over somewhat. Wheeler Yuta had ANOTHER great match (it is his time for good matches after filling the “pin that guy in Best Friends” role?) and the TNT Title match was a great transition to the on-a-roll- Scorpio Sky, who’ll make for a fantastic TNT champ and by having Sammy work the match ‘hurt’ it means he doesn’t look too bad from the loss. Thumbs up from me!
