Brit horror ‘Hosts’ gets a US release date!

by Kevin Haldon

That’s right Nerdly readers, Hosts is finally on its way for your viewing pleasure. Well… In the US it is! It looks like the good folks over at Dark Sky Films have decided to drop Hosts across the pond first. Which while being a tad sucky for us Brits is just awesome news for all our ‘Merican fans.

Today Dark Sky Films have dropped the trailer for Richard Oakes and Adam Leaders debut outing Hosts and it is a gore-filled thriller that I am sure will please the eyeballs of even the most casual fan of this genre. We have been following this films journey since the lads took to You Tube and hinted at their twisted little baby so we can tell you outright that you have got to check this flick out!

On Christmas Eve, an innocent couple become hosts to a malicious entity. Throughout the night they proceed to terrorize a family of five in unimaginably violent and disturbing ways. But these demonic possessions won’t end with this unfortunate family; they mark just the beginning of a horrific worldwide epidemic. Beneath its nerve-jangling suspense, the film offers a dark and bloody insight into how lying to your loved ones can not only alienate them, it can completely destroy your bonds with them forever.

I will be dropping somewhat of a spoiler free review closer to the release of Hosts so I really don’t want to say to much on this right now. However I am crazy excited for this flick to be out into the world for all to see. If your a fan of the horror/thriller genre with some unexpected exciting twists and scares then I have to be honest with you all and say this movie is for you. These directors have brought a very unique vision to the screen and assembled a hell of a cast in doing so… Neal Ward, Samantha Loxley and Nadia Lamin, write these names down folks!

Dark Sky Films release Hosts on digital and VOD in the US on October 2nd. Check this flick out when released and let us know what you thought. In the meantime check out this audacious trailer as many times as you need to… Looks pretty freaking cool right???
