‘Ring of Honor’ Wrestling Review (Sept 15th 2019)
Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have one match. One !@#$%&? match. AEW and NXT are gonna battle each other every Wednesday for viewers and ROH has one match. Was a Godzilla a virgin? That’s why the Japanese were always running from him! It’s…it’s…huge! Godzilla…big crotch! Okay, let’s get to the one match.
Match #1: (Main Event) Rhett Titus beat Shaheem Ali
The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Titus hit a slingshot Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Titus then went for a slingshot cross body to the outside, but Ali caught him and landed an overhead suplex on the floor. Back inside the ring, Ali hit a frog slash, but Titus kicked out at one. Ali attempted a second frog splash, but Titus rolled out of the way. Titus connected on two running boots to the face in the corner. He followed up with a discus kick for the win.
My Opinion: 3.3 out of 5 – This was good. Why could this not have been a bit longer? Why are there no other matches? Do you think I’d make for a cool Latin chick? Que Vas Hacer, Hermano?! This was a match of a certain quality and enough thrills to make the oatmeal a little bit more edible. Yeah, we’re really shooting for some exciting stuff this week, aren’t we?
News Of The Night:
- LifeBlood (Bandido and Mark Haskins) fights Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll and Brody King), next week.
Final Verdict: 2.9/5
I’ll give this a decent review because the one match was good, but this was a show that had almost nothing but high-lights of matches. Kiss my ass. You have all of these great leagues trying to have good weekly TV and ROH has decided to take the lazy way out?
Here’s a plot twist. I read another review of ROH Tv a few minutes ago and saw that they got to watch the whole Bandido/Marty Scurll match on the show. I only got to see high-lights version for some reason. I thought all the stations got the same show to air, but maybe not. I’ll rate that match with 3.9, as it is an older one from the Saturday Night show, I believe.
