The Last Week In Wrestling #21 (Wrestling Round-Up)
Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have another good week to look at.
Best Promo:
The Foreign Master (WWE) – Kassius Ohno went to NXT: UK to show the roster how to wrestle in their own country’s national style in a great promo.
Best Move:
Top Rope Moonsault (Major League Wrestling) – Jacob Fatu did this move onto someone on a stretcher and got the crowd so pissed that they looked like they were gonna riot.
Best Moment:
Kurt Angle’s Last Stand (WWE) – Kurt announced that he will have his last match at Wrestlemania.
Best Personality:
Shane McMahon (WWE) – Shane did well as the callous bastard who has no regard for The Miz’s well-being.
Best Character:
Tessa Blanchard (Impact Wrestling) – Tessa has become one of the most polarizing figures in wrestling and it is one of the best things for her.
Best Performance:
WALTER (WWE) – WALTER worked hard in a strong match for NXT: UK.
Best Wrestler:
PCO (Ring Of Honor) – This guy has gone way beyond just being the old man with one last breath in him. PCO should serve as the inspiration to any-one about any-thing.
Best Card:
Ring Of Honor’s 17th Anniversary (Ring Of Honor) – This was a great group of matches that didn’t quite reach their full potential, but they did get pretty close.
Best Show:
205 Live (WWE) – I gave it a 4.5 out of 5. What do you think? Two fabulous matches and a show that was assembled to compliment the matches made this whole thing worth the time.
Best League:
Ring Of Honor – Two fine shows in one week that actually felt like there was some effort put into them made ROH the big winner this week.
Best Match:
Tony Nese versus Drew Gulak (WWE) – 205 Live had one great main event that added to the reputation of both athletes.
Final Verdict: 3.5/5
This was an interesting week that had some good, some bad and some ugly, but no reason to stop watching wrestling altogether, so that’s a fine week to me.
