The Last Week In Wrestling #13 (Wrestling Round-Up)
Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a good week to discuss.
Best Promo:
Get Mean (Raw) – Triple H cut a good one about wanting Seth Rollins to get tough, like he used to be.
Best Moment:
The Man Whooped The Champ (Smackdown) – Becky Lynch got to humiliate John Cena and get a lot of momentum from it.
Best Move:
Lungblower (Major League Wrestling) – Teddy Hart did a great version of the move on Pentagon Jr.
Best Personality:
Triple H (WWE) – He might be a wrestler, but as one of the general managers of the McMahon family commissioners, Triple H had a good week.
Best Character:
Becky Lynch (WWE) – Lynch was even mouthier than usual, which worked out well for her.
Best Performance:
Brian Cage (Impact Wrestling: Homecoming) – Cage did great in his World Title match against Johnny Impact. Hopefully, this isn’t the last time he gets to wrestle in the main event.
Best Wrestler:
Pentagon Jr. (Impact Wrestling and Major League Wrestling) – Pentagon had three great matches in one week and, for his career, you can’t get any better than that.
Best Card:
Impact Wrestling: Homecoming – This was great on paper and excellent in practice.
Best Show:
205 Live – This hour flew by and had just what it should, which is great action in abundant supply.
Best League:
Impact Wrestling – There were a lot of strong matches from Impact this week, which might be a good omen for the rest of the year…I hope.
Best Match:
LAX (Santana & Ortiz) versus Lucha Bros! (Pentagon Jr & Fenix) – Impact World Tag Team Championships Match
My Take: As much as I liked the World Title match, there was something about this that just makes it stick out in my mind. I hope we get a lot more of these two teams this year.
Final Verdict: 3.5/5
This was an excellent week that was worth the time, more often than not.
