Trailer for new Amazon Prime show ‘No Easy Days’
“House of Cards meets White House Down” in Amazon Prime’s new political action thriller No Easy Days, from the team behind dystopian vampire drama Age of The Living Dead and hit Brit hooligan franchise The Rise & Fall of a White Collar Hooligan. No Easy Days stars Peter Outerbridge (Designated Survivor), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Gallactica), Al Sapienza (The Sopranos), Simon Phillips (Age of The Living Dead), Sean Brosnan (My Father Die), Eva Link (House at the End of the Street) and Krista Morin (The Handmaid’s Tale).
When first daughter Alice Reynolds is kidnapped on her 18th birthday from a New York nightclub, the White House initiates emergency protocols. But as the kidnappers hunker down in an underground parking garage for the long haul, questions are raised about the President’s ability to objectively command such a situation. Soon, the political moves towards the presidency prove as deadly as the actions of the kidnappers with a gun to Alice’s head. Hope comes from an elite team of Navy Seals sent in to rescue the hostages, but soon the safety of the President himself in the Oval Office is under threat.
Amazon Prime are set to release the eight episode show exclusively in the UK and the USA, adding to their list of quality exclusive content that already includes Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Man in The High Castle and Billy Bob Thornton’s Goliath. The series is the creation of showrunners Paul Tanter and Simon Phillips, under their Dystopian Films banner, telling the story of a successful kidnap attempt on the daughter of the President of the United States, ramping up to a takeover of the White House itself. Series director Paul Tanter said:
Amazon Prime is home of some my favourite exclusive content, including American Gods, Bosch and Preacher. I’m delighted No Easy Days has found a home here and Amazon audiences will be able to enjoy thrilling action combined with Machiavellian political scheming. I was blessed to work with an incredibly talented cast and I’m incredibly proud of the show.
