‘All In’ 2018 PPV Predictions

by Nathan Favel

all-in-poster

Welcome to the All In prediction column, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a preview of what may be the biggest wrestling card of the year. I’d also like to thank CBS Sports for providing the card listing that we are working with here. I’m really excited for this one, so let’s get right to it!

Match #1: Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, Punishment Martinez and others – Over The Budget Battle Royal For A Ring Of Honor World Title Match Later On The Card

Appearing on the Zero Hour portion of the card that will air on WGN, this match will be a fun spectacle. I think they’ll go with Punishment Martinez to win this match.

Match #2: The Briscoes vs. So-Cal Uncensored – Tag Team Match

I’m expecting this to be a great match. Airing on WGN’s Zero Hour, this is the greatest amount of exposure for The Briscoes in their entire careers, so I imagine they’ll put in a magnificent performance here. Actually, I think the Briscoes will be booked to win here.

Match #3: Madison Rayne vs. Chelsea Green vs. Britt Baker vs. Tessa Blanchard

This should be a lot of fun and will, hopefully, feature Tessa as the winner.

Match #4: Stephen Amell vs. Christopher Daniels

I’d rather Daniels get to fight a truly great professional wrestler, but Amell will be respectful of Daniels, so perhaps this will work out fine. I expect Amell to win, but I hope Daniels does instead.

Match #5: Chicago Street Fight: Joey Janela vs. Hangman Page

This should be a hell of a fight with Janela winning.

Match #6: Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll

This is where we start getting into the big stuff, because this match will be some-thing else. I’m expecting a truly great bout here, with Okada cementing himself to the American audience as a hot commodity with his wrestling style being a high-light for the entire night.

Match #7: ROH World Championship: Jay Lethal (c) vs. Over the Budget Battle Royal winner

I think this will be excellent no matter who Lethal wrestles, but I believe that Martinez gets the title shot and wins. The controversy with Lethal as a possible sex fiend has not disappeared and putting the title on Martinez, which seems to be a goal at some point any-way, could be a good way to get the title out of the fray of Lethal’s potential doom.

Match #8: NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

I’d rather this be the main event than any other match on the card, but at least this will be a strong match. I say Rhodes should and will win, which is what people are paying for.

Match #9: Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr.

I don’t see a scenario where this doesn’t bring down the house. Omega wins the match but both men become massive successes due to their work here.

Match #10: The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi vs. Rey Mysterio Jr., Fenix & Bandido

I prefer having the NWA World Title in the main event, but since this will be incredible, I can forgive this match being placed where it is on the card. Rey Mysterio fighting Kota Ibushi and The Young Bucks is enough to make any wrestling fan salivate, so this should be more than enough to make the crowd explode. I can go either way here as Rey could put over the Bucks and the crowd will be happy, but I think one of the Bucks will put over Rey and the crowd will go nuts.
