Watch Now: MCM Manchester July 2018 Walkthrough

MCM Comic Con returned to Manchester at the end of last month, with a packed weekend of nerdy goodness taking place between 28th – 29th July at Manchester Central. And when I say packed I mean packed!

Guests included Cooper Andrews & Khary Payton from The Walking Dead; Zach McGowen, most recently seen in season five of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; three voice actors from the ever-popular Overwatch: Charles Chung, Lucie Pohl and Gaku Space; as well as Mass Effect’s Jennifer Hale; and the now-legendary duo of Nolan North and Tory Baker, two video game voice performers whose names are synonymous with classics of the genre including Uncharted and The Last of Us.

Besides the guests, MCM Comic Con Manchester features the comic village (itself packed with attending artists and writers), a community zone offering cosplay meet-ups – including a chance to meet Ivy Doomkitty (who also gave a great talk on the MCM Live Stage), special guests photo ops and live cosplay tutorials. Then there’s the usual mix of exhibitors and vendors putting a strain on your wallet (I should know, I spend a fortune at comic cons every year!) as well as panel talks – including for the film Of Gods and Monsters and this years Frightfest film festival – plus a HUGE cosplay event!

Nerdly was there – many thanks to the organisers for giving us the opportunity and for putting on such a fantastic con – on Saturday July 28th 2018, the first day of the convention; from when the doors opened until very late in the afternoon.
